I'd estimate around $300~ depending on how good you are at shopping around. The good thing is that very few Pokemon cards retain their value after rotating out of the standard format.
50 card decks was the number we came to after some testing. 40 card decks would often deck themselves well before taking 4 prizes, making games shorter than we liked.
As for the low trainer count, that was intentional. Since this is a Pokemon cube, we wanted the actual Pokemon to be the highlight and thus lowered the Trainer count. This also forces some decision making when it comes to choosing between a Draw 7 or a build-around Pokemon.
They're cool, and obviously strong, but not a good fit for my Cube. I don't play EXs (As of now) and they require you to draft very specific cards to be able to play them. Time walking yourself never seems like a good idea either.
I can barely stand the new forum look, so I haven't/won't be posting as much, but I just wanted to say thanks for the Manriki-Gusari suggestion. I've been looking for an interesting Artifact to add instead of Armillary Sphere and this seems like the perfect choice given how many power equipment I'm playing.
Top 4'd at the midnight prerelease which was way better than I expected to do. My deck was insane (Foil Polukranos, the tribute or fight hydra, tons of removal) and the only person I lost to was the guy who got first.
I'm not a huge fan of the slugfest that the format was but it was still enjoyable. Ended up opening a Kiora and 2 RB Temples in my winnings which made the night even better.
I disagreed with you on the elixir. But I love your name and avatar!
Mega Man 3 music in my ears! (If you code A6 you start with 9 E-tanks. Whooo)
Glad to find another MM fan out there! I'm still not sold on Elixir, maybe I'll swap in something like Vulshok Morningstar or just wait until we get another playable Artifact.

I actually just bought a batch of cards to update my playgroup's Pokemon Cube earlier this week, I'm excited to try it.
A Pokemon: The Gathering cube sounds interesting, I'll definitely check it out.
Of course my immediate answer was to say that they're both Magic mechanics.
I'm not sure how many New Zealand posters we have, so I think that narrows it down a bit
I like this card but 5 mana seems like SO much for something that doesn't have immediate effect.
I really like Phyrexian Reclamation in my Cube if you're looking for something similar.
