Just out of curiosity, how big is a 'big' tournament?

1k? 5k? Nationals? Grand Prix? Worlds?

I would consider splashing Wgu only to run Jace 2.0, considering the rediculous amount of CA you generate from him. Obviously an aggressive deck doesn't actually try to run for CA, so I would leave that in a bant shaman deck.

The main reason I would run U with Wg is for 4x Shared Discovery. Drawing 3 cards is so game breaking it's rediculous. And with no utility to draw (You need Fauan's, Vines or Equipment on the field as is) it doesn't truly benefit the deck enough to take away from other parts of it.

    http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Digital/MagicOnlineTourn.aspx?x=mtg/digital/magiconline/tourn/1836816

4-0 Wg list in a daily event, and running what would most likely be called the 'stock' Wg list right now. I would up to 4 arbiters and 4 firewalkers, Arbiters make it extremely hard on Ramp and can buy you the game if they don't draw into one of their 3 MB LB's. Kor Firewalker wins games, period. I would also consider 4 BoP, it's not a card I don't want to see in my hand.

Another consideration is that Kor Skyfisher is vastly better then Glint Hawk in the Wg version, as we rarely run even 8 of the 0 cost buddy system, making cards like Obstinate Baloth and Mystic, along with Outfitter and Acidic Slime useful twice which will happen more often then watching a glint hawk get you 2 for 1'd by a burst lightning (happens more then I'd like it too). Yes it slows the deck down a bit, but not by as much as getting 2 cards stolen from your hand.

Lastly, I like the idea of 3x SoBaM, 2x Armor. The SoBaM is never bad to have multiples on the field, is not a bad card to have in your opener, and makes Vengevines murderous.

These are my only changes I like so far, and seems good on paper but have not been tested. (aside from arbiters and firewalker).

EDIT: Honorable mention, Mono W quest right below the Wg list has 3 Ajani Goldmanes in the MB, it also went 4-0. Something to consider if you don't like the Questvine version right now.

Hey, did you get my banner?

AND so this isn't considered spam, I htink Jace 2.0 is a bit slow. Four mana, and a slow effect is not what quest is about.

I'm going to be gone for the next two weeks due to overwhelming RL. If you need a sig, ask sushi or argetlam.

Thanks to all the guys from HoTP who were kind enough to give us hints/suggestions on running our shop.

It actually seems pretty 1 sided in the mirror. If you can't get rid of fauna shaman... I still haven't lost a game with an active shaman on the board.

Really, 600px x 100px is acceptable? I thought this site only accepted 450x150.

Sorry Jubokko, GW wins the WW/GW matchup almost every time. Its only slightly less explosive, and has a far superior late game. Also, WW cant deal w/ shaman, and that runs over them fast.

    @Bane117:

We're working on it right now.

A sig, as you may know, must be 450x150 px, just to alert you of what''s coming. Do you want a specific font for the BLUE DECK WINS?

I agree with most of that.

I use 2 SoBam rather than SOV. I'd evenn prefer strata scythe> SOV.

I dislike student. Too mana intensive.

    I don't even use wildwood.

    Intro
Welcome to Hakai Studios! We are a relatively new sig/avatar shop, having only gotten started in December 2010. If you have always been envious of that guy posting on your deck's thread with the cool-looking signature, don't be! Because now that you've found your way to Hakai Studios, those days are over. And next time, you will be the one with the cool signature. We have four artists right now. They are Dakushiru2, SushiOtter, Argetlam and Bornover .

We now do animated avatars, but only limited. Contact Dakushiru2 for more.

    Requirements
Frustrated by hindering post count requirements that you will find on other sig shops? Don't be! Here at Hakai, we require almost nothing for you to have your very own signature! All we need is that you throw a shoutout (preferably a link, but it doesn't have to be) to Hakai and the artist who created your banner. The artist that PM'ed you your banner is the artist who created it. Also, for us to make you a banner, you must submit all cards you want us to feature, as well as links to any non-MTG picture. Be specific! If you want a specific artist to create your banner, then say so, but otherwise it will be a rotation or whoever gets to your comment first.

    The Waiting List
On the waiting list you will find anyone who has submitted an idea to us, but we have not yet finished their banner. If you find your name on this list, be patient for your banner! We generally are quite fast and have it back to you in a matter of hours or days. We do have real lives outside of Hakai, however, so sometimes we may go on hold for a bit.

No one is on the waiting list right now

    Other
We are currently recruiting new artists! PM one of us for more information. Do you have any other questions relating to Hakai? PM one of us! We'll be happy to answer your questions.

Thanks for checking out Hakai Studios! We hope to make a banner for you soon.

Thank you everyone, for carrying the WW torch through your FNM's. Sounds like you all did pretty awesome.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a subforum for decklists? For example, I'd like to see EvilDuck, BlindingMage, and JackDalton's decklists, but they're scattered througout the thread.

I think the remaining arguments for WW are these:

    Duelist/Student
    Squadron Hawk?
    Stirring Wildwood?
How many equips? (4 for me)
    What equips?
GW vs. WW vs. maybe W/u

Well, Student of Warfare actually came in hand during a couple games because I was able to level him all the way up to 7+ fairly quickly which allowed me to do some much needed damage. Kor Duelist was helpful as well. I often side 1 or both duelists out for game 2 if I have to sideboard in a lot. I actually really like running both of them. I'd probably run 2 of each if I had one more Student of Warfare.

Did you ever feel like student was leveled, and leveled, and then you got timewalked by bolt??

If this post doesnt get deleted, gratz Jubokko!

    Now:

I think GW DOES solve some of the problems.

For example, whereas a kor duelist w/o quest or equip or even with an equip is not a must remove. GW makes just about every creature with the exception of birds a must remove (well, squadron hawk, and a few fliers).
My enraged UB friend threw 10 cards from his graveyard across the room, claiming he had to use all of them and vengevine was still swinging. It was awesome.

Jubokko: How was duelist? Would you prefer student?
