I have 8-10 copies of each unhinged basic. Other than that I have 8 Phyrexian Revokers, for no real reason. Then countless commons and stuff I don't keep track of.
I'm right-handed. I play with my library on my top right, turned horizontally. Graveyard vertically below library, exiled cards horizontally underneath graveyard. Some times exiled cards will go horizontally above my library.
My Foil 8th Edition Wrath of God. I had my Grandma buy it for my birthday in 2004. She has since passed away. It's the card I own with the most sentimental value.
All my basics for constructed decks are Unhinged. I have 10 of each to make sure I've always got enough. I don't play mono-colored decks.
For EDH, it differs. My pet deck has Beta Forests, Swamps and I'm working on getting the Islands. The other decks I work on the most end up with full-art Zendikar lands.
No matter what lands I end up using, they all have to have the same art.
It's just a rough estimate, it would actually be less. I did have 40,000+ cards but I dumped off a whole lot of it that was just junk a couple months ago in preparation for moving.
Edit: Wow, didn't realize how old this thread was. How do people necro things that are 2 years old? geez.
It's either 30 or 35, I looked into it before. The required minimum is pretty low and I used to go to a shop that ran it like that cuz he wanted to go home as early as possible.
at least 2-4 draws would occur every night and the talented players would stay away from control to make sure we could finish in time.
My blue Judgment spindown die from the fatpack I bought on the day I really started playing Magic.
Other than that, my foil 8th Edition Wrath of God that my Grandma bought me for my birthday like 9 years ago or whatever. (She passed away a couple years ago, so the sentimental value has gone up even more)
One of my Favourite experience happened way back in the day in 2002-2003. It was within the first year I had started playing Magic and I finally built my first real competitive deck, which was UG Madness.
One Saturday I just kept winning and eventually had to face all three of the best three players in the store (I had never beaten any of these players before). I won each match and got first place for the very first time.
My next best memory was either going 5-3 at my first PTQ just a couple years ago or making top 8 of a SCGIQ last year. I lost in the top 8 of the SCGIQ to FoodChainGoblins ^ lol
Wild Mongrel + Madness & Flashback cards. From back in the day.
Stoneforge Mystic + Batterskull

You can always find stores on Magic's main website. It's an easy search function.

Oh yeah, I got steamrolled by Brian Kibler at States 2012, it was freaking awesome.
I've beaten Greg Hatch and Josh Silvestri of minor CFB fame. Those wins/moments felt pretty good.

I wish I got to play competitively more often.
