After running him at the helm for a few games, I noticed that it really doesn't pay to run exclusively creature-based ramp. While you are ramping up to 6 mana to cast him, you might as well run the classic Nature's Lore, Kodama's Reach, Cultivate, Skyshroud Claim, Ranger's Path package for more consistency. There's nothing forcing you to cast non-creature spells once he's out, but they sure do help with recovery when he gets dealt with.
Terasto-WolShaman x3GG
Creature- Elephant Shaman
2/3
When Terasto-WolSHaman enters the battlefield, destroy up to x noncreature permanents. For each permanent destroyed this way, its controller puts a 3/3 green elephant creature onto the battlefield.
Bonus points to anyone who can guess my favorite card in EDH

If you drop one of them and then drop Reliquary Tower you give yourself a very good set-up. Also you can have a back-up plan with Phyrexian Arena in play.
I love Red because the color identity fits my personal play-style. Jack, your post hit a little too close to home, I'm going to go eat ice cream from the box and cry on my bed now.
I really like your deck and I have been following your edits to improve my own Radha deck. I'm really looking forward to what new Gruul has to offer. How has the deck been playing without Prime Time? I haven't had a chance to play my deck since university started back up before the banning.
I would consider dropping Selesnya Signet for something else simply because you don't have that high of a curve to warrant a card devoted to producing extra mana. I think that if you want the acceleration you should run Steward of Valeron because he has great synergy with Knight of New Alara and you can swing with him, then use his mana ability main phase 2. Stirring Wildwood is a cool way to have both G and W available and it can beat. I'm always wary of auras in non-hexproof decks, so consider dropping Shield of the Oversoul for Behemoth Sledge or Loxodon Warhammer.
You could try the lands that do something when they come into play like Khalni Garden, Bojuka Bog, and Halimar Depths as a starting point. For man-lands I would suggest ones that turn into creatures for colorless mana like the one you suggested and maybe Mishra's Factory or Dread Statuary. That way you can play all sorts of lands without worrying about colored mana commitment. Cycling lands (Drifting Meadow and such with colorless cycling) would be great too in order to get the threshold lands like Barbarian Ring active. Definitely want 4 Deserts and Quicksands for creature defense like you said. Dryad Arbor is both a land and a creature. Honestly, so far I don't see this going anywhere without at least 4 non-land spells. Be it 4 All is Dust or Life from the Loam at least, not to mention Exploration.
I found an excellent way to find him and other cards in your deck in the form of Fierce Empath and especially Mwonvuli Beast Tracker.
Gruul War Chant is indeed a killer. As far as alpha-striking is concerned, I wouldn't mind taking 12 damage to play Overwhelming Stampede and Savage Beating to end the game.

Not quite what you were looking for, but Budget nonetheless.
Also, Turnabout fits right into the theme.
However, if you still want to play with these people, then slow roll your deck and play politically the first few times.
Can't wait for Gatecrash
