This is exactly what I would expect. They will probably rant in the media about how it mainly targets assault weapons (and possibly "external features" ) when the bill grossly expands the definition(s).
They'll force it through when everyone is crying and screaming for the children's safety. Sorry to sound cold, but such is life. They are just taking advantage of a disaster. It even violates a supreme court ruling.
Everyone just won't seem to admit that there are a lot of other, much more awful ways to carry out a mass murder.
I don't want to provide a list or anything but none of them have any use for self-defense or hunting.
Oh, and the ago old problem of "only the black market guns will be on the street" is still going to be a problem

    FAITH BASED TACTICS.

Am I the only one who's Big Red Flag of Internet Stupidity went up?

I try not to hold magic card's to the same level of scrutiny as everything else on-line, but faith and tactics should be on opposite ends of the multiverse.
If you have strong enough faith you don't (think) you need tactics.
And if your tactics are not based on faith instead of evidence (like previous battles, for example) then can you really even call them tactics, or is it just a plan?

It's a shame this card will most likely popular as it is an incredibly stupid concept, flavor-wise.
I don't think unblock-able feels very white either, but maybe that's just me.

Some people get shakes and/or insomnia from cocaine, not enough to scientifically reliable but some do.
And if you go from jerking off several times a day to zero, you will start to get a remarkable increase in unwanted boners, regardless of situation.
People don't think of that as withdrawal thou.
The fact does remain that your brain becomes wired to do over and over.

    Quote from Rivaltuna

addiction is a very subjective term in this case.

    Amen to that.

The road from your neurons firing in the proper pattern the first time
(ya know, like when you learn something)
to it becoming an ingrained part of your brain
(meaning you do something automatically, or with out even having to think about it)
is a long one and I have experienced many of its sight and sounds.
(there mostly as appealing as a truck stop bathroom at 3am, at least getting addicted galvanizes you against awkward situations).

Point is that I'm no doctor, but I know what it "feels like" to become addicted and I can see it's onset in other people, there's lots of signs.
And I can say with confidence that you can get addicted to anything you enjoy.

The first time I heard the existence of sexually addiction was debatable I said "Anyone who thinks sex can't be addictive is clearly doing it wrong"

I gotta put this out there: only mammals have produce milk, thus having what could be interpreted as boobs.
I know most of the tribes are mammalian, merfolk are a little questionable, and goblins less-so but the Orochi are allegedly snakes. And maybe its just me but I could swear that tribe is mostly female

And I would really love to know what Ashling, the pilgrim has stashed in her chest-wrap. Am I just to assume that her offspring will suckle at the tit global damage? Would she need to call up her best friend vigor to get her children past infancy?
I do get it that we can identify with characters if they are more human-like and part of our brain is always on the look-out for boobs (well, mine is) but I think elementals should be genderless.

glad to see someone gave the nod to Commander Eesha, I've taken a shine to gomazoa in EDH but given it's more of a deterrent, I can't really say it's a chump blocker, so...winged coatl

wow, I'm crushed Sisay didn't get new art. Personally I think the only ones that looks better than the original are Visara and Tiferi (and that ones almost the same)
My god, I would never be caught playing with that Kresh or Kiki-Jiki, and I want both of them over the others in the set (the others I lack at least). And this is coming from someone who has Col. Sanders (yes, KFC) over the art of my Sliver Overlord I got at my 1st draft. (does that make me old?)

I've used it at FNM before, and it's just so morally crushing, because no-one expects it.
It's all in the deck its used, if you have one super-important spell in green (?) in a counter heavy meta then it works. (It felt good to let out the beast-within my last mindsculptor)
Just not really now. Actually it does work, its just not usually worth a card slot
I still think its a perfectly designed card, because control decks work by saying NO! and this just allows mono-green to say no right back.
Maybe I'm biased because I use it safeguard momentous fall -> Omnath for like 10.

    Quote from Boing

His methods are Red only because he inspires fear in criminals; otherwise, he's quite calculated, cold, and distant.

His use of fear as a weapon is actually a more a blue trait: he intentionally uses criminals own greatest weapon against them, he didn't just happen to be scary.
Jedi said it first but, he really spends a lot of time and energy in pursuit of information, even if the goal of catching the Joker (or whoever) is purely white I think it still makes him at WU. Black feels a bit off after thinking about it. I know he's willing to sacrifice himself and all but I don't think this is the same thing black is talking about...

  • posted a message on Feasibility of drafting older sets at a local store
I really like the idea. A draft of out of print sets has potential to be very popular, depending on the player base, my friends would drive a long way to draft Mirrodin-darksteel-fifth dawn.
As far as I know they would have to have a judge in order to have any DCI support, but look into that 'cause I really don't know.
It sounds like you don't have enough space in the store thou, I would recomend finding another place, have a smaller draft. me and a few of my friends had a draft with just eventide, it was great, the guys at the store looked at me funny when we mentioned we where gonna draft with it.

ya, it will be keep those abilities and be real scary until end of turn, then will go back to a 5/5 man land.
Animating the nexus with its own abilitiy will then replace the size adjustment from tezz.

except that what they are doing is illegal.

It's not the United States' fault that Mexico sucks to live in. While we could make it easier to get in legally, I for one would rather just offer Mexico an Annexation treaty and get it over with. Their quality of life will get better as they get legal access to American institutions, and the economies on both sides will get a boost as new markets become available. It would be a slow process, since they would start as a territory(s), so there shouldn't be any undue financial burden on the US.

    North American Union.
I don't really want to start a whole new debate on this, just let you know that the idea is floating arouind out there
I won't bother with a link (unbiased source? ON THE INTERNET, HA!), just look it up for your selves and decide if you think it's the real deal

Man, no love for the angel? Awsome flavor and great art. not real strong at 6 mana anymore but as mentioned she'll see lots of casual love.
The clone seems really good, not sure I like a strong tribal theme in some colours but not others. (Ahh good old days of drafting Onslaught)
Also having it at 2 mana allows you to keep more mana up for counters....ya know, if Mono U aggro isn't your thing

not nearly as bad as most of these....but I left Thor saying, "Brad Pitt really held that accent well, I didn't seem fake for a second" Now it's more like "He did a good job for not being brad pitt" The movie sucks thou, see X-men instead.
