You clearly haven't seen the masterpiece that is Gaka's Norin deck.
Oh I've seen it, about a hundred times. I watched a friend waste his money getting the deck together (pre-imperial recruiter promo) only to be disappointed. It was Gaka's list. Don't get me wrong, the deck is cute and the idea is cute, but the following and promotion of the deck is just dumb. Every new player to the forums asking for a new General is always directed towards Norin.
The deck, sure it may be fun when you get a few key cards, still isn't very good.

I play a bad general, a very bad general, but that's the point. The deck isn't designed to utilize the general for much more than being a beater. He fits the bill perfectly for being a 6/6 for 6. He also doesnt get me targeted when I sit at the table, its fun watching other waste resources on one another. Ignore the list in my it was in the early stages, gotta update that soon.
I only have room for one of the two in my deck. Right now I'm running Greaves, it's awesome early game with Serra Ascendant but the shroud prevents from equipping Sunforger or other stuff to my creatures late game. I'm really leaning on the boots.
I really wanna add Indomitable Archangel to my deck but with about 20 Artifacts I worry I won't hit the ability enough? How many is enough would you say?
And yes, I thought about Leonin Abunas. I'd rather have the flyer and 4 power of the angel. :/
I took it outta my deck to keep it from becoming just a good stuff deck. The card has no place really and didn't really do enough to justify its spot besides maybe helping to get Mistveil Plains' ability active, but Luminarch Ascension did that, and more.
Still a bad general. If I end up playing against a phage player it's obvious what they're trying to do. That's when I save my wear/tear for their lame little trick.
Hey! Thanks for the shoutout! My Oros deck has went through a small change as of lately, I will be doing a big update to my list this weekend when I have more free time! Some suggestions I might add:
Sunforger - Yes this is the center piece to my deck, its one of the main combos. However its too good not to add really. It can save you in a pinch or remove whats in your path.
Imperial Recruiter - If you have no budget restrictions, this card is a must. It searches up so many things in my deck. Usually the first being Serra Ascendant. After that its whatever else I need. My deck is really toolboxy and searches for answers a lot and this guy helps. He can grab Serra Ascendant, Stoneforge Mystic, Duplicant, Weathered Wayfarer, or one my favorites to set me up next turn: Solemn Simulacrum.
He also grabs my next suggestion:
Necrotic Sliver - This guy, this is a beast. Hes tutorable with recruiter, he plays early politics, scares people into not dropping their utility lands. hes a small beater, holds a sword and blows stuff up. Hes also kinda broken with Mimic Vat/Sun Titan.
Also all of those cards are great with Sun Titan. Sun Titan is the MVP of my deck!
I ran a Vish kal deck, it's so good! Run Phyrexian Processor and Martyr's Bond. Phyrexian Processor makes it so easy to one shot someone with general damage. And martyrs bond is basically another Grave Pact but helps if one of your artifacts or something gets destroyed.
So I'm building my Rafiq deck and it's becoming a little tight with room and looking through the deck I have 12 mana fixers/ramp/rocks. This got me thinking, are the signets even worth squeezing in? The hight card in my curve is 7 and there is only one.
Also I never really have mana issues so I don't think I would need em anyways!

The General is just bad, and the deck is too.
