EDIT: I'm also extremely disappointed that Spore Frog is not in here...

Feb 22, 2018Let me start off by saying I am not a rules guru.Posted in: Magic Rulings
Now I know there is some shenanigans to be had with using Angel of Serenity and instant removal to exile three critters indefinitely.
My question is, how to better understand how this interaction works so I can explain it while I'm using it. (I am also playing with some really new players.
Question 2: Can I abuse this with Razaketh, the Foulblooded's Sac ability?
Sep 19, 2016Wow, I like this build. Seems really solid. I would add more tutors, like Demonic tutor, or Vampiric Tutor. Also I feel Sunforger is always a great asset in a Voltron-ish deck. Especially in these colors as it has a ton of fun choices to grab. I'm running it as a back up plan in my Kaalia deck.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists

Thanks! I'll Check it out!
Quote from Stefan »I did some checking up on the Triangle of War you basicly have to sac Glissa if you want to kill a bigger creature cause the first strike ability only works in combat. Making this a ver expansive way to kill a creature. Being that the commander tax is cumilative and can make Glissa extrodonary epansive to play.
I would like to recommand Viridian Longbow and Thornbite Staff both remove creatures and in combination it whipes boards for free.
Yeah, That's what I was thinking. If I end up using any of the three it will be Thornbite.
In other news, I managed to find a Wayfarer's Bauble and a Scroll Rack. I think they will be great additions as Wayfarer's Bauble could replace a bigger ramp spell like Ranger's Path. I think Scroll Rack will be great as I sometimes have bigger spells in my hand early in game so it won't hurt put them on top or get them later if shuffled.
Now I just gotta figure out what to cut!
Feb 19, 2016I do like Moriok Replica as its another way to use Grave Pact type effects. I also love Wayfarer's Bauble, I just couldn't find a reasonably priced foil at the moment.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists

Definitely considered Triangle of War, I was going to also try Thornbite Staff. I like Memory Jar as well, it was in my original listing but every time I used it, it always backfired and helped my opponents...:(
Feb 19, 2016I finally completed rebuilding my very first EDH deck, Glissa. When I first heard about EDH, Scars of Mirrodin was just revealed. I was looking and looking for my first General to break into a new format. When I first seen Glissa I knew it was my chance to finally play. I loved Green Black, I loved Rock in general. Spiritmonger and Pernicious Deed was two of my favorite cards of all time, and Casual play was dying locally in place of the EDH takeover. I also loved the Voracious Cobra design of Glissa and the ability to recur one of my favorite cards: Mindslaver. So it was set, I started the build. After about a month or so I had the first design of the deck done and started playing.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists
The deck did everything I liked, Draw cards, tutor, destroy permanents, everything. I played the deck and only that deck until the Commander products came out and decided it was time for a change. For no reason did I dislike the deck, just wanted something new and I really couldn't afford two decks at the time so I had to scrap and trade pieces for newer pieces for my new deck Kaalia of the Vast.
I went on to build several different edh decks, even pimped a few, always regretting I took apart this deck. Glissa was not overpowered or too weak. It was just right for me in a casual setting. So I decided to sell off a lot of my collection and I rebuilt my first deck, again. This time, more up to date and a tad more competitive. AND I can finally say I foiled out the deck that got me into this format that I love. The deck is to be tweaked as I play it more, but for now, this is the current list:
I would love some opinions! Also I will be updating this post quite often, hoping to have a Primer one day. Will also post scans soon!
Nov 14, 2015Huge Update! Made the deck more Multiplayer Friendly (for me). Personally I always felt that I had too many Fatties in the deck. Took out some key cards that people will object to like Thundermaw Hellkite, which honestly just isn't that good in Multiplayer.Posted in: Multiplayer Commander Decklists
Added in a Sunforger Package. Always considered this as I had a large Instant count. I also needed something to search for late game if I draw Stoneforge but already have my Greaves out. Also considering a Sword.
Added Charms, They're actually very good in Multiplayer as they each have many uses. All searchable with Sunforger when needed.
Added Mistveil Plains to support for Forger late game, Also fetchable and searchable by Eternal Dragon.
Removed Vandalblast for Into the Core, Already have plenty of removal, this becomes searchable with Forger and its an Instant.
Removed Bojuka Bog for Reliquary Tower, but reconsidering this.
Removed Smoldering Marsh for Mistveil Plains. Already have enough ETB Tapped Lands.
Gift of Estates - Great search in non-green decks, Grabs Mistveil and shocks, helps me hit all my land drops.
Removed Sarkhan for Hide // Seek as its better for removal and its fetchable. Sarkhan is pure flavor.
Removed Scourge of the Throne as it wasn't consistent for me.
1 Thundermaw Hellkite
1 Scourge of the Throne
1 Sunscorch Regent
1 Hoard-Smelter Dragon
1 Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker

Nov 8, 2015SkwirlMTG posted a message on How many creatures to justify running Survival of the Fittest/Fauna Shaman?Well its a Glissa the Traitor deck, I really don't benefit from tutoring creatures but I could benefit from dumping and redumping the artifact creatures, even though there is only around 5 or so Artifact creatures (maybe more, still designing.)Posted in: Commander (EDH)
