I'm an admirer of fine time pieces, unfortunately I don't own one yet. I'm partial to the Omega Planet Ocean Liquidmetal titanium 45.5mm chronograph with the blue rubber strap for every day wear, this is also the first watch I plan on acquiring since it is relatively "affordable" with my new job. Eventually, however, I would like to acquire a Patek Phillippe, something classy and understated made from rose/red gold with a brown alligator strap. It will be nice to hand down a fine watch to my son or grandson someday.

You've got some good taste in watches sir. It would take me a few years to save up for that Omega...the Patek, well that would require me to sell my self on a corner. You might like one of my dream watches, the Rolex Submariner with a Blue/gold face and dial with gold in the middle of the bracelet. Just gorgeous.

Ive never understood the draw of those kinds of watches. They seem... impractical? Excessive? Maybe a bit gaudy. I've got the pebble steel right now and I appreciate the understated design and basic geometry.

For sure, watches aren't for everyone. They can be a bit excessive or overly flashy, but for someone like me who wears jeans and a t-shirt they add some much needed style. The pebble is a cool watch and I could see myself getting version 2 or 3 once some more functionality has been added.

I dunno, a lot of things we have these days could be called excessive. Like 5 inch cell phones that don't even fit in your pockets (especially when sitting down).

Mickey, the Tissot Moto GP watches are nice and I have had my eye on them as well. Do you like the yellow or blue one?

9909, although I can be caught wearing a watch for the sake of it looking good, I generally wear them at work or other events when time is important (like at an mtg event). So much easier to turn your wrist a bit to see the time than pulling your cellphone out of your pocket. I like the third watch you have there, I need one with a leather strap as the metal bracelets are quite heavy (which matters when you are typing a lot, not to mention that the metal gets scratched).

Anybody else a watch lover here? I myself have to stop at a watch store and drool on at least one case whenever I'm at a mall. Post up your watches and/or your dream watch.

I currently have 3 in my collection (not that many and none of them are that expensive, but I'm working on it :D). I really really want an Omega Speedmaster, but that ain't happening any time soon!

Also, how about you donate that money for a bag of gummy bears to those starving in your country or the developing world? Slant

What...why don't you donate the money you spend on magic to third world countries? This statement makes no sense.

Why would I want to buy them and try them? Some sort of morbid curiosity I guess Grin

Read the customer reviews for some laughs. I'm curios though, has anyone actually tried these things or know someone who has? Is it really that bad? OMG

I'm half tempted to just order a bag...

No, you can't. It's not Oracle of Mul Daya.

Cool, thanks. That's what I thought, would be overpowered at 3 mana if that was the case.

Dumb question, can you play the land if you have already played a land that turn?

The man didn't come here asking if he should smoke a pipe but rather how he should smoke a pipe. No need to go all health nut on him.

Find a smoke shop that sells pipes and ask the owner/clerk about it, they will most likely know more about it than anyone on here.

So it seems like they are pretty even performance wise. Looks like I will wait a bit to see what games are made for each platform and probably for a price drop as well.

I am looking to get either one soon. I haven't kept up with any of the new generation specs/capabilities/games at all. How have the two stacked up so far? Which one has better gaming capabilities? Which one has a better overall package?

Do you have either and how do you like it so far? What don't you like?

So, to lower the prices of the fetches, these things need to be done in this order.
    1. Reprint them in Modern Masters 2 (whether the supply is limited or not, this should help. Reprint as rares of course)
    2. Reprint them in a expansion/core set.
    3. Reprint them in another expansion/core set. (M16 and Warlords for example)
    4. Once their price is down low, you can reprint them in products like duel decks, and Commander decks again.

This is a great idea, although it may take a while to execute (maybe 4 or 5 years?).

These sets seemed to have leveled off at $700 on online stores and some sets under $700 on ebay. Could this be the high point for this product?

I got called out on for griping about girls wearing yoga pants and how I think it's inappropriate in a lot of cases (I don't think the buttocks needs to be lifted and separated).

I can say with some confidence I'm not old yet, but I am finally old enough for younger people to call me old.

BLASPHEMY! Yoga pants are simply the best thing.

On topic, I was feeling old because my 26th bday is coming up this week, but that feeling lasted no time at all. I went into the liquor store to buy some wine on Dec. 1st, I had just shaved off the mustache, and I got ID'd 3 times while I was in there. Made me feel much better haha

Obviously, this Game Day would be for Modern decks only.

I like this idea, a modern game day would be pretty cool. But what do you mean by modern decks only? Are you saying to exclude standard decks or to use only modern legal cards (which is what I assume you mean)?
