Why are misty rainforests the most expensive sac? I know no one around where I play that needs blue green.

I've seen the whole mono colored: "your color is x" sort of thing, but I've seen plenty of multi colored sigs that have a similar thing going on. Anyone have the url?

Anyone have any idea where to get mods like these?

    scorehero.com

Okay.. GH3 is really good, I admit. The only problem? Where's Freezepop? Frown They've made songs for 1 and 2.. why not 3?

Freezepop was in games made by Harmonix. Harmonix left Activision after Red Octane was bought out after GH2. So Freezepop isn't in 3.

however, Freezepop (along with Honest Bob and the Factory to Dealer Incentives) will be in Rock Band Grin

Wow, I've been busy as hell. Much to reply to. Let's get started.

It plays like traditional teachings, but i use red for big dragons, tutor targets (EOT, teachings beacon you. next turn, flashback teachings beacon again) and weenie removal.
anyway, what do you guys think?

I love it in concept, U/R rawks my sox off. I'd have to sit down and actually play it to come to a conclusion, however, it looks very complicated, but could be good. lol i like how if you really need to finish them off, you can tutor a beacon, play it, flashback teachings, beacon again. Not in one turn of course. The mana required for that would bring world peace.

Hey guys, sorry about the hiatus from posting. I had some surprises in real life that kept me really busy. but I'm back and I'm just heading over to the clan council to see how things are moving along. They had kind of ground to a halt for a while and I want to see if the next contest is coming along.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Hecticity is the order of the day.

Who's excited about Shadowmoor? Yeah, I know we should be worrying about morningtide, but the idea of a Victorian 'fable-horror' themed world is just so awesome I can't stop thinking about it

I can't wait. I hope its not too goth, a grimm's fairytales/pan's labyrinth meets The Spoils would be badass.

I want stuff like this, this, or this on a card. The girl with the saw is Little Red Riding Hood, btw.

Kinda like a darkstalkers sort of thing. BBHood ftw! If Wizards ever puts anime style art on a magic card, I quit, but I see your meaning with the links. A flavor perspective.

I'm going to suggest the ideas that we come up with in the clan council for the next clan contest. Any other suggestions (besides the cool idea of creating a cycle of cards)? Let's choose something we can get psyched about so that we can do well in the contest. There aren't many ideas in the council right now so it's a good time to have our say mean a little more than usual.

Hmmmmm.......lol how about a clan song contest? People don't necessarilly have to record a song (that wouldn't be very feasable), but the idea is for each clan to make their own song ala lord of the rings (how all the songs are just written out in text.) It's basically a poetry contest, but slightly different. Fine, well, maybe give a bonus point or two if the clan actually records a song.

Asian my advise is lose black and pick up green. omg is it great. Mystic snake and Spellstutter Sprite work almost seemlessly togeather. pair that up with Familiar's Ruse and Glen Elendra Pranksters and you have amaizing Synergy. a set of the Clique us also a must that little thing saves my @$$ more times then i card to count. if you want my working list i can give it to you but i will warn yeah it may not be preaty. also dont forget about your friend Sprite Nobel its very good for your low Def farries.

Not a big flan of glen elendra pranksters. They're sorcery speed and cost 4! However, if my crazy blink fairies.dec doesn't work, followed by the inevitable attempts of U/B Fairie fish and U/B fairy control also don't work, green is the next color on my list. UG is the shiznite, and you get access to much funs cards

Side note: I totally have 4 foil cloud sprites! :D. Fairies are hawtsome. I miss my dragonauts Frown

Not bad pulls. The foil knuckle samitch is nice.

I just got my singles in the mail today, and now I get to have fun with faeries :D. I preordered my thoughtseizes for relatively cheap, and they're already going up in price so I'm happy. Plus.....they have a fairy on the picture :).

Listen to bands that you can't define and you'll find true music. I ask you to genre-alize Odelay, or We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, or Off the Grid, or Myths of the Near Future, or Stadium Arcadium, or Gorillaz before you talk about any kind of music dying or rising.
Note that you can't call these albums rock anymore. Hinder and Nickleback are Rock... real rock music has transcended rock, and therefore genre all together.

    and beck just wins
    More truth! Teach

The best band on that list is Rodrigo y Gabriela (duo). The rock my socks. Latin-Rock fusion is an amazing style, and when I first heard Tamacun, by jaw dropped. Their covers of Orion and Stairway are great as well. I don't know if I like them as much as the originals, but still they are brilliant.
I absolutely love Rodrigo y Gabriella. Their covers aren't better, but are amazing.
I got to see em at Lollapalooza last year. They we're the best live performance there out of a weekend of Lupe Fiasco, Modest Mouse, Iggy Pop, Daft Punk, and Pearl Jam. There was a trancendent moment where Rodrigo started playing Wish You Were Here. They don't sing, so the crowd sang the song. During the part with slide guitar, he finishes his beer and plays the part with the bottle :D. The song continued and cut off after the singing, and the whole crowd just laughed and cheered. Check out Gabriella on youtube. She manages to play rhythm while using the guitar itself as percussion AT THE SAME TIME. It's crazy.

Haven't been here for a bit, been busay.

I think that an elemental/elves g/r beats deck could work. You run the efficient elementals and elves, radah, goyf, and burn. The deck builds itself. Of course due to solidarity, I can't test said deck out >_<, but you get the idea.

Remember, Spectral Force and Timbermare are elementals. Teach

@ Draft: I don't think its best to go into a single tribe. Not only is it hard and limiting, but odds are someone else is thinking of that tribe. It's best to pick either two synergistic tribes, or just draft by color and use changelings for consistency.

Btw, I really like A7x, they have some good stuff. Bat Country is probably one of their best songs. Plus, there is also Beast and the Harlot, for all you GH lovers. Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance are a great combo. Can't forget the Rev either. The guy is amazing.

A7x has lots of talent, but to be honest, I really don't like their singer. His semi-screamo voice turns them from being good to them being hit or miss, with every miss being just terrible.

That's the only real problem i have with the "newer metal." Bands like Finger Eleven and Three Days Grace and Chevelle all have decent songs, but their singing is just soo bad I can't listen to it. Due to the content of this thread: disclaimer: I am NOT criticizing anyone else's musical tastes, just stating my own.

I have some advice to dispense to you all that will save you time and energy: don't listen to the radio.

    QFT!

Newer (relatively) Bands that are good, can't go into the details now, cause I have class in 15 min. Maybe later:

    Modest Mouse
    Rodrigo Y Gabriella
    The Arcade Fire
    Gorillaz
    Mika
    The Birthday Massacre
    Wilco
    Radiohead

[QUOTE]I dated this awesome girl in high school. We were both outgoing and fun, she was smart and funny and nice and yadda yadda yadda. But we as a couple didn't quite work. We seemed to be a better fit just as friends. The sex, however, was fantastic. So we decided to keep it that simple. We never dated again, but we had frequent sex. No jealousies, no deeper emotional attachments beyond our original friendship. We took different people to prom, we carried on relationships, we were never anything more than friends with benefits. If she hadn't moved away, it'd probably still be going on. And not once did the sex complicate things. There was never a moment of awkward, no pangs of jealousy at seeing the other with someone else. At least not on my end, though I never got any indication that her experience was any different.

Indeed, sex CAN just be something fun to do, an activity if you will. It doesn't have to be about love. Take a look at the legal brothels of the past. I'm pretty sure very few of the men going to said brothel or the prostitutes themselves had an ounce of love in the act. The men wanted to do it cause its the shiznite, and the women wanted money.

    Good luck!

@ layers: Layers piss me off. They are actually really easy to understand, but the magic rulebook is such an arcane document, they way they explain them is extremely complicated. What's the current page count of the magic comp rules? Doesn't it break 1k or something?

    Question:

Occasional sex with a confirmedly straight man: good idea or bad idea?

I'll provide back story when I have a little bit more time.

No, theres nothing wrong with that. Odds are he's just experimenting or he is closet bi/gay. If it's just casual sex and he expects nothing else of it, why should you care? if it starts getting complicated, that's another thing entirely, but in my experience, it rarely ever does.

what do you mean? Don't you pay attention to the other arts. In rav block you can see the Gothic style of architecture with how the windows are and yet it very anti Gothic and romanion due to the fact it has rounded dome like structures. Pay attention to the renaissance feel to the other blocks. (careful art minor *would have been major but I changed my mind*)

Naw, I didn't mean goth as in the art/period style, I mean goth as in the Bauhaus/SkiPo/wear black and hate the world and worship Tim Burton as a god thing.

    Anyways...

Oona's Prowler: While I do agree it is overhyped, it's still a fantastic card. A 2 mana 3 power flyer that can force your opponent to pitch. Granted, against goyf its not the greatest, but it can feed your own goyf as well. So far, I think the best fairie builds are gonna be the UBW Blink Agro-Control or the UB/ fish builds.
