Voted for House. Good parts and elements that came together to form a cohesive tone, and pleasingly worded.

Not too big into political poetry, and German is a little bit of a leap for me.

I roamed a dream of trees-

    I dreamt of leafy cheer

    And the birds kept calling

    KAW! KAW! KAW!

    Curse these philistine desert ears!

    Turning avian language fine

    Into shapeless, caustic brine!

    I didn't lie but a wink;

    I blinked away the night

    Like any sommelier of

    Sunrise; poured myself

A glass and took a moment

    Not to think

As Q goes: still waiting on Oxymoron.

As other stuff goes: "The Abstract and the Dragon." Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip made a mixtape. Some of it is remixes of classic Tribe songs, some of it is totally new, some of it is Busta and Tip rhyming over unreleased J Dilla tracks.

Totally lost my **** when I read "FASTER, QUICKEN//NO! NOT TOWARD THE KITCHEN!" Possibly the best poem I've read all year.

Also voted for Blippy because I endorse that level of no-****-giving irony

(none of which is to say that I didn't absolutely adore the more serious entries this week)

    I found the color of peace;
    It's somewhere between
    Mountain peaks
    and venerable trees

    Oaken comfort in morning mist
    Dew-drop whist-
    o serene:
    o tranquil:
    o space between
    Sing-song dreams
    of higher things

    What height?
    what crest
    what lofty apex light
    might surpass
    this lonely valley night?

    What ichor!
    What wine!
    What liquor mine;
    Drink deep of the stars
and thank all scars what may be

    Wander down this valley's lines
    read between it's pines and
    enjoy this sullen, wild shrine

Still trying to find a copy of Night's Gambit.

Oh yeah, FlyLo released a collection of unreleased tracks. It's pretty amazing. There's cool loops, some Capt Murphy tracks, and an all-star guest list (Shabazz Palaces? Baths? Underachievers? Thundercat? Okay, so maybe it's only all star to me).

Seriously though, it has everything from gorgeous "Until the Quiet Comes" type beats, to Cosmogramma-esque jams, to a jazzy tack titled "an xbox killed my dog," to a remix of Black Skinhead with Thundercat backing it. Something for everyone.

    Other news:
A couple old chance mixtapes came to light
Ta-Ku's new album "Songs to break up to," is good. Maybe not the best thing I'll hear all year, but it's bright and lush, and done in earnest.

Voted for blippy's. It was fun, so I voted for it. Blippy's was the poem I voted for. The poem I thought should win was blippy's. I cast my vote for the poem I thought should win. Which was blippy's. So I voted for it.

A huge congrats, thank you and good luck to Crusible! It's a tough, nearly thankless, and often embarrassing job running the PRC (names are hard- just ask ivladi ilvadi ivadi ilvladi Ilvaldi)

    Quote from Condoms
Hopsin is actually legally mentally challenged.

Is that where that line in Ill Mind 3 comes from?

Anyway, a little New Free Death Grips to satisfy you until "Because the Internet" comes out.

Granted, I'm only one song in as far as serious listening goes, but as far as the snippets I've heard go- thit **** bangs with an alarming amount of intensity. It's like trying to inject insulin, only to find out that someone switched it with adrenalin. The only other analogy I can come up with is this:

It's like finding Marty McFly's Delorean that came back from the future. And when you pop it open, he slashed his wrists, painted a skull on his face, and this would be playing from the trunk.

    I believe I'm bleeding-

From where you bit my lip,

A stinging break in my tide

With a twinkling glimmer of life

    A monument to what ripped

The far side of my mind

    From its dulcet listening post-

One ear upturned to the New Mexico sky-

    Like Beethoven,

Listening to the dirge of the alien

Ship shrieking a death wail across

    Gods ashtray-

So too do I adjust my dials

    And tune my antennas

    To pick up the faint

    -blip-

    -blip-

    -blip-

    Of your hastening heartbeat-

Like Van Gogh one ear is all yours,

    Lusting solely for the staccato

Sighs and squeaks of your pleasure

    The squall of your veins-

The steady drone of your pulse-

Lets me know I'm not alone.

Are you referring to the "Deeper" EP, or are MadGibbs doing another album?
