Was going ot put "The mana burn rule applies this turn", but not sure exactly why it was removed and if it would still work with all the new rules since it was removed. Also, I know it's not the same. Nixed because of phases and end of turn and mana clearing out.

I don't know what colour he would be... He kinda wrecked anyones face so long as they were between him and his scion. Wanted to do something with his 8 heads, but couldn't think of anything that wouldn't make him feel like a Hydra.

This seems ridiculously powerful. As long as you aren't playing mono-red you can force your opponent into the position in 1 on 1, it's a 4 power creature that can only be eliminated effectively by 2 colors out of all the pies, and it only costs 3, and it has haste allowing it easy access the turn it's played. This blows True-Name Nemesis out of the water, and that is already a clear contender for eternal formats.
Also, red doesn't have a very heavy precedent for protection from effects, and any precedent it does have is targeted at enemy colors exclusively.
Unless you have the highest devotion. If not, means you have a smaller board presence, probably.
