Interesting picks. I went RWb since thats what I usually do (and I wasn't seeing any Snapping Drakes to make UB good), and suprisingly it seemed to be well that first go around. I don't claim to be an expert by any stretch of the word at drafting, but it was interesting nonetheless.
BTW is there any not-MWS program that makes boosters? Apprentice works alright but theres got to be something by now that lets you look at boosters for practice drafting besides getting a game in on Netdraft.
I thought of this a while ago, but I keep having computer problems and without a backup system I keep losing all the cards I make. Anyway its just cards that refer to creatures with one creature type, aka non-sentients and the like.
Elven Hunter
1GG, Creature - Elf Archer 2/2, Uncommon
~ gets +2/+1 when blocking or blocked by a creature with only one creature type.
Brand
R, Sorcery, Common
~ deals 2 damage to target creature or 4 damage to target creature with only one creature type.
Beastial Rage
2G, Enchantment, Rare
Creatures with only one creature type that you control get +1/+1 and gain Trample.
EDIT - HAd to put "only one creature type" since all creatures have at least one creature type.
Promise of Bunrei sells for $4 a set for a reason. I like as few noncreatures in my deck as possible, *especially* in G/W with Crown, so it definately doesn't get in over Otherworldly Journey.
I edited my deck up there, because I realized Samurai of the Pale Curtain says "Bye bye combo" and alot of those decks are around here. It also flips the finger at UB, since Doppleganger is all but useless and theres no Circu coming back. Plus its the same as Hand of Honor in the mirror anyway.
Seems like a really good build to me, gets Ink-Eyes out more than the decks that only run 2, and you don't draw Shaman every 5 seconds like decks that run 4 of it.
Why doesn't anyone run Crown of Convergence? To me cycling through the crap with the chance of it being a 2 mana Gorious Anthem is fine by me. 22 land, 3 Crown, 3 Jitte, and 4 Otherworldly Journey are the only cards that aren't creatures in that deck, so you should get a creature on top or draw Jitte or any removal you need.
Name - Koshimi Race - Human Age/Height/Weight - 23/6'2/270 lbs Appearance - Koshimi is a tall, very muscular fellow with short frizzy black hair, dark eyes, and lightly tanned skin. Every foot or so lies a scar all about his body, though the most noticable is the dagger-length one that runs across his left eye. Needless to say, he squints from that eye. Apparel - He wears cheap dark blue pants tied at the waste with a black sash, well broken in leather boots, and a peasant's white shirt stained with dirt and blood. He only wears it indoors or in higher-end situations though, as he prefers being unhindered.
Story - Just looking for a job. He's a mercenary if there ever was one.
Weapons
Steel-studded tetsubo sheathed across his back.
Small sack full of polished stones, perfect for throwing.
I honestly don't think that you need alot of SB to beat MUC, 3 Quash, 3 Scrying, 1 Boseiju really do alot there.
Wouldn't those be boarded cards anyway? I prefer not to run Quash when I'm already running Condescend so I don't draw into too many mana-intensive counters. Plus theres always Birds and Elder instead of worrying about Scrying.
Flamebreaks are awesome against token-based decks and WW, but seeing as how the meta in my area's control, I prefer the chump-killing Pyroclasm with mana left for a burn spell or two to finish off Meloku or even to cast Slith.

Server Issues - Eh, good in limited I guess.
GGG Growth - Nice, definately a good buff for green.
White Elemental - Way too expensive to use in normal games.

Trecean Derider - Can't see this being very useful either. Maybe make it 3RR and have something like Haste?
Feverish Sorcerer - Something to boost its toughness = probably invincible, unless you have a way to remove counters. Still expensive though.
Ifos - Seems perfect for a blue/red card instead of mono red.

Why does everyone wanna run Artillery? It's a dumb card, a random burn spell would just be better. Plus it's horrible in the mirror match.
