I do not support the idea of altering the "gay gene" in embryos. I do not support doing much of anything to embryos. People should be born as they are and make their own decisions, dealing with their own problems.
My support of such alteration for the sake of argument is born only of my confusion with those who support abortion but do not support the alteration. I had hoped to elicit some sort of response from that camp, but very little in this regard seems to be forthcoming. I thought I had made this clear, but apparently I didn't. I apologize for the confusion in this matter.
To reiterate:
I do not support the alteration of the "gay gene" in embryos. I do support the cessation of homosexual intercourse wherever it takes place, but altering the person's genetic makeup to accomplish this is not the right course of action.
