Oct 2, 2015Dresden posted a message on The Magic Street Journal: Wizards Always Hurts The Ones They LoveLove the article, pretty comprehensive! One thing not discussed, however is why Wizards would or should tweak formats to benefit players. Players also need to know that as with all companies, Wizards has long-term financial gains as a key driver - whether that 'benefits' a particular group of players who seek to have fun or profit is a distant concern. Magic's primary consumers are the consumers who continuously buy packs. Thus, prices are here to stay, PostModern will likely be a thing. In the meantime, players should diversify their collection to avoid price shocks and like the writer said, just say no to being exploited!Posted in: Articles

However, the info from older sets is off (inconsistent with newer sets) so I do some of those manually...
And I'd rather not trust Aunt Betty to do this type of stuff. I'm sure it's not the first time somebody this side of the pond has had such a need so I'm looking for some ideas!
Please carefully consider finances and debts before making the leap. When the economy is bad, that's when ppl take time off to get some education - I'm suggesting that you not lightly jump off the gravy train while the going is good, you may not be able to get back onboard. There are myriad ways in the meantime to fulfill your desires to teach or mentor - there are community outreach groups, volunteer teaching, youth groups, etc...
Online though, it's great and I will continue to use it.
I'll wait for these reprints to hit before picking up these expensive pieces for collection purposes...
@EvaUnits: I hear ya, mtg and home improvement is a tough choice but you gotta make improvements to the house to safely store those cards, amirite?
