O-Kagachi. Much like how Oona is very entuned to the plane, so is O-Kagachi. O-Kagachi is also the first spirit to ever exist in Kamigawa. O-Kagachi waged a war that lasted twenty years, and didn't even show up until the twentieth year when he ate a large portion of the land and 3000 of Konda's soldiers.
If Kyodai or "That Which Was Taken" wasn't taken from O-Kagachi, he would be a even more powerful threat. Also keep in mind that O-Kagachi had a Physical Form and Incorporeal Form as well being a spirit and all. Who's to say O-Kagachi wouldn't be more powerful in his Incorporeal Form if people bring up the fact that Eldrazi also have an Incorporeal Form.
The Eldrazi are like bolas, except Nicol Bolas is at least smarter than them. All the Eldrazi do is Eat and travel; eat and travel. O-Kagachi could at least formulate coordinated plans against them.
O-Kagachi mortally wounded Yosei, the guardian dragon of Konda's realm with little effort and tore through all the magical defenses around Konda's castle that were very powerful spells, keep that in mind.
Kamigawa was the hottest set that WOTC ever made. Everybody still talks about it and how great it was these days unlike that terrible set they also made, the dreaded Ravnica.

My fun is not your fun, yet your fun is not my fun unless it's also my fun. Just cause you have to be a sour grape about my fun does not give me the excuse to be a sour grape to your fun. As I just want to have fun with my buddy for awhile of just slinging cards.
Oh there is plenty of untapped room alright. You only have to say the view is from Peasant Joe for instance to get that fictional man's thoughts and what Peasant Joe saw across to the readers.
In alara there could have been a short story from the eyes of a Tidehollow Sculler and what (s)he thought about the shortage happening in esper. That certainly wouldn't be stepping on any toes.
This is a mono blue aggro deck of mine I just recently updated with some more recent spells. This is not for everyone, I understand there are people who can't pay for two djinns and two moxes. I assembled most of this deck when the game was still starting out. Just wanted to give my fellow casual players a bit of a heads up on that subject.
I like the earlier articles that had short stories as opposed to blatantly telling the general public about the flavor of each world we visit. I want to see through the eyes of the individuals in the world and their thoughts and views of what's happening around them.
You could try two Flagstones of Trokair and two Emeria, the Sky Ruin for the deck. A partially resistant deck is a healthy deck after all if it comes from your lands as well.
Flavorfully: The mana bursting out of the body. Harming the body, for it was not made to be contained in such "unworthy" vessels as that mana goes returns the source. Maybe with some other magic you could contain it?
Mechanically: Unspent mana does 1 damage and empties the pool. Omnath and Upwelling to keep it from leaving.
This argument is odd and very strange from both sides. Each side shows knowledge and yet at the same time, ignorance. Even though each bit of knowledge that matters from both sides have been repeated several if not many times. I suppose it is true what they say, history does repeat itself.

Not from any particular franchise, just a demon.

I'm still talking about mana burn here.
