Yes of course its this easy thats why solar flare is squeaking in a few of the top 8s from states and wolf run is absolutely dominating do you perhaps read SCG premium articles exclusively?
You do realize that these same Solar flares decks have been cutting counterspells and snapcasters this week, right? If you do that, they have no chance vs wolf run.
AND Sondag himself said that Solar Flare decks without mana leak will be destroyed as long as wolf run ramp is in the format. Go back and watch his semi-final matchup in top 8. He suggests more hard counters to help combat Wolf-Run Ramp.
Curse of Death's Hold. Will stop one of their thread completely (Inkmoth), make Garruk's Beasts and card draw much less scary. And much of the deck much less scary. Only thing it's pretty terrible against is inferno titan + sword of feast and famine.
The thing is, yea it kills Inkmoth...but you still have to deal with Primeval Titans and Garruks.
Mono-Black infect stomps all over R/G ramp, just btw
and a lot of other decks for that matter...
It's pretty awesome
(One top-8'ed here in GA)
I wouldn't say that. I had my way with a Mono B Infect deck yesterday, and the pilot was a good player. If they can't stick a Lashwrithe, they usually don't win. I have 2 Garruk Relentless sideboard personally for the mirror, and it turns out it wrecks Mono B infect. Garruk fights plague stingers, phyrexian crusaders, and whispering specters no problem
but it wont stop the wolf run and ink mouth themselves
You won't have those lands out if you counter the GSZ / Primeval Titan. and if you MANAGE to draw 1 of your 2 wolf runs, they doom blade your inkmoth nexus
Round 1: UB Control, it was a bad matchup for me that I actually did better than I thought I would, but we can't beat multiple day of judgements, and O-Ring messes with us. I would have won the first game off a flashback'ed rally, but he o-ringed my one blocked and swung for 20
0-1
That guy must be pretty good, playing Day of Judgement and O-Ring in UB
Really cool combat tricks with this in limited (attack, after blockers, sac another creature you control with the 2/2 saccer, then blow the opposing player out)

1) Make a Birthing Pod deck that wrecks face.
2) Make a U/B Self-Mill style deck that wrecks face.
You know, if they plan to explode it on 0, there's nothing this card can do about it, right?
