Just wanted to stop in and say that I played a variant of the WWRelic build today at my FNM.
Matched up against a strange Elf Deck and won the first game with a turn four Armor, lost the second due to bad draws and then lost the third entirely due to pilot error (put the Armor on my Kor Duelist instead of my Etched Champion).
Matched up then against UB control. He scooped on turn 3 the first game when the quest resolved. I sided in Luminarch Ascension for the second game, resolved it, but lost to ratchet bomb (the game went 14 or 15 turns). Lost the third game as well due to just not being fast enough.
I then played a few exhibition games against RDW (featuring Kiln Fiend) and WWRelic stomped it.
I think I'll be trying this deck at states tomorrow, so I'll report back more then.
He was the only legend in the box of 1000 random cards I bought when first getting into the game, and he is now my favorite EDH general. I just ordered an Italian copy of Stangg to be his evil twin.
