My first thought is too broken

My second thought is maybe not.
If multicolor is a cost reducer, and so is being a legend, then they might be okay.
I'd still tweak them a bit. The boros guy I'd lower a toughness. Golgari loses a power... maybe two.... It's got regen.... that makes it uber good.
Dimir... Way too powerful. I'm liking the 3/1 P/T...
Selesnya needs to be taken down to 2/1

Even with those stats reduced... these are amazingly good.

I like it.... I would imagine that wizards would print the exact kinds of cards with this ability too. The basic sort of humdrum that the colors have access to. Although I think the cost would be more expensive. Like the shatter would be costed higher, because of the repeatability 2R

necrosis is worded all funky... It'll never get 4 counters on it, since at the end of my turn, I put it on my side as a creature...

I like the intent behind wave of corruption.... but why make everything outcasts? Why not just say all creatures get an upkeep of 1 life? As Maro says... elegance...

Razi is a bit overpowered I think. Reanimate him and sac him or something.
Since the Kamigawa gods didn't get the creature type god, I would imagine he wouldn't either. Make him legendary.

Fallen Dragon is okay. I could see it getting printed.

Since you get to choose the order the spells are stacked, whichever one resolves first is what happens.

    Pseudospell GG
    Sorcery
When Pseudospell is played target opponent reveals his or her hand and all spells that can target Pseudospell must be played, without paying the spell's mana cost. You get to decide in what order the spells are played.

Elves had learned that decoys were fantastic weapons. The shamans were equally inspired.

Note that when this spell resolves, it does nothing. Everything happens when it is played. It needs to be this way, otherwise when the spell resolves, there would be nothing for the spells in your opponent's hand to target. I was trying to make an anti-counterspell card. I made it green because it was sort of along the lines of all creatures must block ~this~.

  • posted a message on block after Rav?
I was just mulling things over about how Rav is going to have a vast quantity of races like loxodon and such. Ravinca sounds like a place where everything converges, colors and creatures. Perhaps that would make the next set after Rav a logical time to revisit Dominia, since we've gotten a taste of everything in Rav. Thoughts?

Yeah, definately will add Serow once I get them (I'm mostly playing on-line right now).

I'm not too bad against MUC, But Ponza's speed is really crippling. unless I get BOP with SoFI on it, I'm usually dead by turn 4 because they've just dropped a Slogger, and have been bashing me since turn 1 with a firewalker.

I'll try upping the Jitte count. I've been kind of reluctant to do that, since a bird with a Jitte, or a Jitte and Kodama are pretty useless, but its begining to sound better to me.

What the heck am I doing wrong here? I can never seem to win anything with this build. I know the Firstborn is a bit janky, but after a beacon its great... but I wouldn't mind pulling them out for something else.
My WORST matchups are always ponza. I don't know why ponza keeps killing me. MUC isn't terrible. I've got a 50/50 rate against it. I just need some tech to beat ponza. any suggestions?

I'm leaning towards fake.... Here's why... Seems to me that lately whenever Wizards reprints something that is truly amazing.... they've given it new art. None of the "Power 9" have new art. Rancor and the mox would at the very least get new treatment.

I was kicking around the idea of making a green beats deck with grim reminder sideboarded in to punch for 6 whenever someone played Sakura tribe elder or Reach... thoughts?

  • posted a message on MTGO Vanguard premier events... what are you playing?
Just curious what people will be playing at the MTGO vanguard Standard premier events.

From playing in the rooms, it seems like the most popular archetype is Weenie (Usually white but not always) beatdown utilizing Ernham Dijin, Higure, or Two-headed giant avatars.

I've seen other decks that are fighting it however utilizing echoing decay or truth, ghostly prison, silent arbiter, etc. But weenie beat down can kill in 4 depending on the avatar you're playing and if you can't deal with the threats.
I'm thinking the best response to weenie beat down is to play weenie beatdown packing some strong removal or anti-creature control, like ghostly prison or echoing decay. So something like a white weenie with a splash of black for removal.
    Any thoughts?

I think you're stupid phil... You should just look at the std meta-game that exists now, and pick an avatar that best suits that deck.
Mean Green Beats would fit well with Ernham,
RDW would work well with Serra or maybe even Tim.

KCI could even possibly work with the fallen angel avatar...

I've been playing this deck online for a day now, and have been rather impressed with it....

I know this isn't optimal... I only have 2 chrome moxes but its still pretty darn good. I've been thinking about cutting the engineers since they don't seem to do much, and the land that I get is usually plenty enough. It takes some intelligent mulliganing and I would recommend that you always go second to get the extra card... Since you will be usually dropping your entire hand in the first turn, if not then second. Ideally I'd like to get rid of the lands all together, and utilize just the paradise mantles, since the only thing that really needs mana are the thoughtcasts, cranial, and brood. problem is that I need to equip it for one. but 4 chromes would solve that problem... although you'd still need something colored to imprint.
    any suggestions on improving this?

  • posted a message on Beta Duals in 9th/rav?
Well.. there is a ton of design space to explore in a dual land besides making it legendary... Pain lands were really great, and since RAV is supposed to be the return of gold... we'll need something that act like dual lands.

I'm guessing that legendary will not be the solution that they implement, since playing the land would be highly dangerous in a multicolor environment.

I bet it would have something to do with tempo or card advantage. Perhaps when you play this land, discard a card, or sacrifice a land.
