    no problem, I had remembered it from putting together my Norin the Wary deck
    didnt make the cut but it was close

    still a 4 color 5th turn infinte combo is janky as heck but there's really nothing more timmy/johnny than an infinite army of ∞/∞ creatures :p
    and for the whynots, with all the extra mana you can use the staff to gain ∞ life and draw as many cards as you want...

    as long as you have 4 saprolings in play you can do mana echoes and staff of domination actually gives you infinite mana and infinite +1/+1 counters on all your infinite creatures...
    with utopian mycon you could actually use vigean Graftmage instead of the staff too

    Garruk for you seems much better than my choice which is similar and I am totally sticking with; a shiny worldslayer in a pack I won at an fnm, totally building something around it after rotation. It actually could be decent considering we're supposed to get graveyard shenanigans and with a card that says "hey chuck the whole board into the graveyard" you could have some serious shenanigans with a yard that size. that kid taking a dump in the river might actually be useful...

    in other news contagion clasp is actually very playable and a step in a much better direction.

    and even if it does take ~ 3 months to do a promo card, thats fine. Just do it for the most recent block. I'm very certain people will be playing things like dismember, birthing pod, puresteel paladin, etc will still be popular in 3-4 months and I would be super happy getting a promo of. Things like Jace's ingenuity never even see standard play, it just costs too much for what it does.

    and if, as claimed, Wizards doesnt care much about card popularity when doing alt arts, they definately should give it more thought. I gurantee you if the promo prize for a tournament is more desireable more people will come out and play. Right now I have no need for a cultivate and the art is silly but it is kinda a trophy so there is that but otherwise my pull to go play fnm is rather meager, but if it was something that was at least useful as trade fodder or I could personally use I would be there in a heartbeat. and no thirst for knowledge is not what we need here...

    actually that's the definition of dishonesty. A "trade" is ideally supposed to be between cards of equal or comparable value. You putting a .20$ flashy card up for a 50$ card and hoping to fool some inexperienced person is obviously not being truthful or honest. You are claiming that both cards are indeed of similar value, which just isn't true.

    back on topic, as long as the banlist is done properly this could be a sweet format.

    now I may be confused as to what the reserved list means but from my understanding it meant that those cards would never be reprinted into the standard format. under that understanding putting them into an ftv would be fine because being in this set does not change its legality in any set.
    kind of like how dark rit has been reprinted in precon decks since it was put on the list, but because precons dont change a cards legality in any format they are immune to the list.

    again I may just be wrong

    yknow, as long as they are doing legends one card would make me both incredibly happy, and laugh for weeks that they actually included him;

    and for those of you stiting there thinking he's completely useless, you obviously have never sat on the other side of my legacy deck, esp not in multiplayer (my current record is 11 people, in 20 minutes.)
    needless to say if hes in there I will move many large things to get atleast one

    here's what im thinking right now

    without her phoenixes and without a plethora of burn/utility chandra just seemed out of place so I dropped her and the gambits for signal pests and Merfolk looter. Between the pests, memnites, spheres, and Dragons I have a good chance of having metalcraft for the phoenixs and galvanic. That said do you think mox opal might be a good idea to possibly replace/ go 2/2 with sphere?
    currently an optimal I was toying with could look like T1; Bear and a memnite T2; Sphere and a signal pest swing 3 T3; Koth and swing with a 5/4 mountain a 3/2 bear and a 2/1 memnite for ten, 13 damage by turn 3 sounds pretty darn fast to me Smile
    or a version with mox opal and drawing more pests;
    T1; Memnite and a bear T2; Opal Signal pest x3 T3 Koth and swing with a 4/1 memnite a 5/2 bear a 7/4 mountain and 3 2/1 pests for 22 damage turn 3...
    also koth's -2 and moltensteel have some nice synergy ~

    you make a very good point on the wardriver vs signal pest, ill definitely swap those.

    would 2 kuldotha phoenix instead of the chandras be better than just 2 more moltensteels? molten is 4cc and no mono red so hes easily available turn 4 and he has the firebreathing thing aswell, either one is a turn 5 swing for 4 or higher

    Koth is definately a consideration, the RR does make me a little nervous though, some enemy color splitlands would be amazing and its been a long while since we had some :/

    and I'm not looking for the same explosiveness as kiln fiend, I know thats not really feasible. but some quick aggro and maybe a turn 4-6 kill is kind of what I'm shooting for, and hopefully more consistency than kiln ( it can be bad when i dont get the pup, or he gets taken apart by the seemingly endless amount of removal these days)

    I am a huge fan of U/r and aggro play and I already have a good maindeck (u/r kiln fiend) until rotate so this is mainly aimed at after rotation, barring better replacements in innistrad this is what I'm thinking;


    any suggestion/comments/advice?

    not having counters feels really wierd but im not sure what to cut/if I need them :/

    this is gonna be awesome in my R/U deck
    opening hand Kiln Fiend, Distortion Strike, Assault strobe, any other 1 cost instant/sorcery, 2 islands and a mountain= t3 win

    t1=mountain pass
    t2=kiln fiend
    t3=distortion strike, assault strobe and that other 1cost, if I drew a dispell then id wait to see if they try and counter anything, otherwise its swing with a 11/2 unblockable doublestrike
