My friends and I love playing with Strip Mine, Wasteland, Tec Edge, Dust Bowl, Field of Ruin, Crucible/loam etc. We also love blowing up artifacts and enchantments. I'll be testing this.
EDIT: Thought it said from your GRAVEYARD, not hand. Pass.
I'll almost certainly be cutting Skinrender for this. I run Alesha, Grenzo, Reveillark, both Recruiters, sometimes Ojutai's command and the 2 power/toughness is super relevant in those cases - especially since this answers cards like GRISELBRAND for christ's sake. Best Nekrataal effect for cube IMO
Call me crazy, but I'm really interested in this card for U/R wildfire, U/R upheaval, and U/R general artifact themed decks. It can generally flip pretty quickly in those decks, and this can lead to some pretty disgusting post-wildfire setups.
Samut does a LOT of crazy things and continues to surprise me. The other night I cast entwine'd Tooth and Nail getting Samut and Ulamog - instant mill 20, gg. You can also do nasty plays like EOT flash in Samut, untap and cast inferno titan
I don't get the excitement for the new Liliana at all. It's a worse Rise from the Grave, or five mana for a Zombie token and maybe a speed bump. No way I'd put that in over Ob Nixilis or the two better 3 CMC Lilianas.
Dude, what? It's Rise from the Grave plus now I have a planeswalker in play. How is that worse?? Why would you evaluate the card this way and not treat Ob Nix the same way ("it's a worse Doom Blade")?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand the hits keep coming. Is it just me or is this the most absurd power level sets we've seen in a LONG time? Vizier and even the new uncommon (Oketra's Attendant) could be considered, as well as both of the new colorless lands. It's just stupid! The ramp spell (harvest season) looks like a very powerful card too, but not sure it's a cube consideration. Either way, I'm really happy to see all these pushed cards, what a gift to people who enjoy testing things in a cube environment!
Purphoros very often does nothing the turn you cast it. You can build around it to impressive results, but it is not an aggro card. In red aggro decks, you will not topdeck a creature even every other turn. I have not seen Purphoros animated in cube yet.
Red aggro wants to cast its 4 drops on turn 4. This card does literal nothing on turn 4, and at best sets up for 3 mana 2 damage on turn 5. Not impressive at all.
Awful. The only thing I like about it is that it has so much loyalty right away, but it's just not an impressive walker at all in a cube environment (where you can draft Agent of Bolas anyway). Pass times 10
Selesnya isn't more stacked than the other guilds IMO. It seems to me that Sigarda, Voice of Resurgence, and Reliquary are not must-have cards. They are obviously super great and good options to have, but it's not going to kill any decks if they get cut

If your opponent ever taps out, they can get permanently locked out of the game.

Regardless, I think the card's art is functionally cool, as it serves the dual purpose of being one thing in your hand and another in your graveyard.
