Just saw these for the first time, pretty fun cool idea.
Are you just working with Sculpey?
On the Yin/Yang - I feel like you could use a stronger contrast.
For the masters yes but after that they're cast in plastic.
I'm inclined to agree with you about the contrast on that one. I'll have to try some alternate paint schemes and see if I can get something that looks a bit better.
Lol ah man I wish I'd notice your thread sooner, I don't visit these forums nearly as much as I used to (aside from periodic updates to my thread). I'm glad your enjoying it and I hope it's been holding up well.
I actually ended up adding a variation of your commission to my main offerings (slimmed down and tweaked a little). It even indirectly inspired my Snarling Wolf design.
For those curious about my other Di-Counter designs just check the custom life counter thread in this forum (or check my album here) or drop me a line =)
I want to be excited about this......but after reading Forsythe article and there overall reasoning and aims behind this set I can't help but feel a little cynical about it.
An interesting idea and a different take on the original one linked. Though I think I'm still more partial to the original idea myself, still though quite nice.
I would go for one who made it crystal clear which ones were the current number with an unobtrusive design.
I've tried to keep it fairly simple to track what number the dice is actually on. For a few I admit it's a little abstract (IE the dice face the Imps eyes).
However unless they are not otherwise obviously marked the appropriate dice side faces directly forward (IE treasure, skull, and steampunk designs).
A couple are explicitly marked, such as the mana potions & the mountains/peaks.
To date none of the feedback I've received has mentioned any issues with tracking life totals. Though I have been curious if it's something I need to more clearly define, thoughts?
Thanks Bristol I'm glad your enjoying them. Overall feedback has been pretty positive and it's definitely encouraged me to continue development on them. I'm currently working on some higher detailed sculpts of my popular one's as well as a few new one's.
I'll be sure to post some new pics once they're complete.

There have already been a few interesting idea's so far, I look forward to seeing how many more are posted by the end of April.
Additional pictures can be found at the start of this thread (or my album or below)

Feedback/comments are as always welcomed.
