To further elaborate, you could actually play Healing Salve before your opponent announces attackers - for example during his upkeep. (Why would you want to do that? I don't know, but you can). The damage prevention 'shield' the spell sets will stick around for the rest of the turn, ready to prevent the next 3 points to be dealt to you.

    Comp Rules:

502.15i When a permanent phases out, any local enchantments or Equipment attached to that permanent phase out at the same time. This alternate way of phasing out is known as phasing out "indirectly." An enchantment or Equipment that phased out indirectly won’t phase in by itself, but instead phases in along with the card it’s attached to.

Whew ... reality implosion averted this time...

Blood Thinner - For a card that doesn't affect the board, and doesn't produce immediate card advantage, 4 mana is awful lot... unless you reduce it to about 2, I don't see it ever being played. I wouldn't worry about Charbelcher decks; those have Goblin Recruiter and Mana Severance, which are far more efficient tools.

Impulse to Disembowel - this, on the other hand, is undercosted. For all practical purposes, it kills any non-pro-black creature, bypassing even regeneration and indestructability, something which is too good for a 2-mana instant (yes, I know about Terminate, but that was 2-colors, and allowed regeneration)

Day of Peace - very awkward wording, with the 'cannot be imprinted' and all.

Gravitational Enforcement - a lockdown on creatures, eh? (1) It doesn't seem very green to me (2) two mana is too cheap for such a powerful anti-creature tool.

A deck may have any number of ~ cards in it.
When ~ is put into graveyard from play, you may search your library for up to two cards named ~ and put them in your hand, then shuffle your library. "Even if I fall, more will take arms to fight evil."

If you spent any red mana to play ~, it has haste.
If you spent any blue mana to play ~, it has flying.
If you spent any black mana to play ~, it has fear.
If you spent any green mana to play ~, it has +1/+1.

    Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho
    3, Legendary Artifact - Equipment
    Equipped creature gets +3/+1.
Whenever equipped creature is put into a graveyard from play, return that card to play under your control if it's a Samurai.
When Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho is put into a graveyard from play, remove equipped creature from the game.
    Equip {2}

The relevant part is bolded. The Daisho looks at the properties of the card in the graveyard, not the creature in play. So I guess that means yes, your Kokusho will return.

Creature combat is a fundamental aspect of the game.
Spells are also a fundamental aspect of the game.

The reason why a creature-only set like Legions could even exist, is because they managed to emulate many non-creature spells and tricks with Morph ("When ~ is turned face up, destroy target ...")

Honestly, I don't think a non-creature set could work unless you can somehow emulate creature combat using non-creature cards. So, here are some suggestions off the top of my head. BTW, sorry about the lame names.

    Wand of Doom
    Artifact, 4
Tap: Target player loses 3 life unless he or she taps an untapped artifact he or she controls.
If an artifact with converted manacost 2 or less is tapped this way, destroy it.
If an artifact with converted manacost 6 or more is tapped this way, destroy Wand of Doom.

(See, the Wand of Doom is sort-of attacking, and the other artifact is sort-of blocking. Lame or neat? You'll be the judge.)

    No Brain, No Pain
    Enchantment, 2BB
BB, discard a card at random: target opponent may discard a card at random.
Unless that player discards a card with a greater or equal converted manacost this way, he or she loses life equal to the converted manacost of the card you discarded.

(See, a card in your hand is attacking, and a card in your opponent's hand is blocking. Lame or neat? You'll be the judge.)

They are hideously overpowered, especially the red one. Going first, you can make a pair of 3/3 hasted beaters on turn one at the humble cost of 40 cards. Admittedly, you're left with only 13 cards in your library, but how long you think the game will last if your opponent is being attacked for 6 damage before even taking a first turn?

PS: I chose to pick on the red one, but that doesn't mean the other 4 aren't over the top as well. I wouldn't mind, for example, to start with a 13-card library and a pair of 4/2 flyers in play ...

Look, you clearly see what you want to see and hear what you want to hear. You never examined the contents of the resolutions the US vetoed, to learn just how unbalanced they were. You never put the European 'condemnations' under any kind of serious scrutiny, nor did you inspect the actions of those countries, nor the hatred toward Israel washing through Europe.

You want to believe the Europeans are impartial and the US is bad. You are clearly not going to be swayed by facts. Just like the Christians on the 'Extraterrestrial Life and the Bible' thread, you will simply not examine evidence to the contrary. Your belief is simply another form of religion, therefore this debate is pointless.

Of course when it comes to Palestinian actions, not only the eyes, but even the entire vision center in rest of the world's brain goes blind. Or maybe blowing up buses is just not that bad. After all, Isra... sorry, America made them do it.

    My opinions on this:

    1. There is strong evidence that George W. Bush indeed broke the debate rules.

    2. The New-York Times was wrong not to go ahead with the story. It was newsworthy AND they had sufficient evidence.

    3. Nevertheless, many others did publish the story (I don't know where you got "two online publications" from. I recall far more than 2 publications running the story)

    4. The NYT decision did not change the outcome of the elections. Come on, for 4 years the US citizens were told he's the worst president ever, he's stupid, he's warmongering, there are no weapons of mass-destructions, he orchestrated the 9/11 attacks, the economy is in worst shape ever, Chirac hates him, and STILL he got 51% of the vote. How many of those voters, you think, would have changed their mind over a bulge?

The members of the community were outraged because one of their own was killed. They could not care less that he stole a car, drove recklessly while endangering others, or assaulted the police using his car as a weapon. All of that doesn't matter. He is one of them, and hence they should be outraged.

The African-American community doesn't have a monopoly on such behavior. Many tightly-knit organizations exhibited it before. One incident I recall as particularly telling is about a plane crash in Switzerland. Two planes collided in mid-air as a result of an air-traffic controller's mistake, and all aboard died. Later, the controller whose error caused the accident was killed by a distraught family member of one of the victims. The Swiss union of air-traffic controllers ignored the first tragedy, but the second one was important enough for them to declare a day of mourning.

That's how it always was, and that's how it will always be. One of 'our own' is always more important than two planeloads of 'others'. And it doesn't matter if you are African-American or Swiss.

what exactly does this thread have to do with the US?

    Well, in six easy steps:
    1. The ETA detonate bombs in crowded places.
    2. This makes them terrorists.
    3. Al-Qaeda are terrorists too.
    4. And so are Hamas.
    5. Hamas fight against Israel.
    6. And as any enlightened European knows, USA and Israel are really the same country. And they won't let no stinkin' atlas tell them otherwise.

But really, all those steps are unnecessary, because:

Excuse me, since when must a discussion have anything to do with the US for an enlightened European to espouse anti-American opinions? Anti-American opinions are just, righeous, and hip. Chicks dig them.
