well, i aactually do know that ETBT pains exist. thats where i got the idea from. main differences: mine don't have the option to tap for colorless, and their purpose would be(im guessing these won't actually be printed but...) to give a supply of easily obtainable enemy colored lands. most likely they would be common.
@nemphosis: you should probly glance back at my first post... everything is in order...
Paradise Mine: t3.
I know it's a nitpicky thing, but come on: You've been around long enough, presumably you play the game... you should really be able to get something dead simple right by this time. Everyone's got their pet peeves, and you've found mine..
I really hope the people that make these "instant win" cards don't think they're actually being funny or clever. I did one once, it cost 0 to cast but you only won the game if you paid 7 or more mana for it. Which means you need to work at increasing the cost for it, which means it's actually got a combo required, which means it isn't utterly stupid.
But what makes this card superstar-stupid is the "~ is not a spell" text, which completely means you can't play it at all. Lands can be played without using the stack, but... that's because they're lands. This card sure isn't a land, so by saying it's not a spell, you can't do anything with it, and all the rules text on it that says you can doesn't change the fact that you can't. Asking how to "properly word" something like this is like trying to flood a desert with a bottle of water: You're not going to be able to, and you deserve a smack in the head for even so much as trying.
I feel like the problem with most of these cards is that they arent strong enough for the drawback of what is, in essance, a missed land drop.
The blue and green leeches are the ones i feel ARE good enough to play, due to the flying/trample.
I couldnt really see myself using the others, although playing against the white leeches would be terribly annoying without a Doom Blade or somesuch handy.
I don't think your "doom blade or somesuch" works too well on things with Shroud. It'd just be flat-out annoying. But given the drawback, they should be annoying.
I'm not sure the whole Additional Mana for your spells thing really works for leeches. Usually you use leeches on your opponent to kill them or yourself to suck out poison.
There's already a card called Dead Ringers, which falls under the "way too close to use" clause.
I love Cloneforge, but the memory issues may be a real problem.
I don't think Vesuvan Mists works, because they're not cards until they're in play, and when they are in play, "as ~ enters the battlefield" abilities are long overdue. You'd have to say "As creatures enter the battlefield under your control, you may choose a creature..." etc.
And even then, it basically does function like a -X ability, it just doesn't say -X... so, what makes him "not your normal planeswalker" then?

Stun
Maybe just Blind, however?

The previous cycle seems to disagree.
Alabaster Leech
Andradite Leech
Jade Leech
Ruby Leech
Sapphire Leech
I would say that balances your card perfectly, actually.

Well, that's cause that's not how they say it. It would be "Whenever one or more creatures attacks you, you may draw a card."
