If you're just running it for free dudes I would use Frontier Siege and/or Nature's Will instead. The danger posed by your opponents getting the effect is very real.

Does anyone know whether MTGO tickets and boosters will be tradable once Future Site lands? Are common members still getting foils and watch list like the first few articles promised?

Given the rapid inflation that's been going on for the past four years or so the best advice I can give is don't. If you're going to ignore that advice then about 3-6 months after rotation is generally the best time to acquire cards. The most efficient way to acquire bulk/jank is either going to be buy collections at garage sales, craigslist, etc. or buy puca points on the secondary market and get the cards sent to you on pucatrade.com. Saving on staples and money cards is only going to happen through lucky finds in collections or binder sharking (ripping off someone who's either ignorant of card values or desperate to get a specific card right away).

Consider building EDH decks as a way to get some use out of the cards you've acquired and guide your subsequent purchases (that's what I trade my high value bubble cards into).

Sphinx's Tutelage is almost strictly better than Jace's Erasure, and is one of the few mill effects that saw competitive play.

I concur that Meren is great in the 99 and that's why I nominated her and not several other legendaries that I was thinking about. While I'm at it I'll support Grenzo.

Also I would not recommend the legion mattes for single sleeving, can't voice an opinion on double sleeving though.

    Why not?

I don't anticipate double sleeving the cube that I plan on using these for since even most rares are going to be <$2; I just want an inexpensive sleeve that won't stick together or be constantly splitting. I asked about legion single matte because they're currently marked down on Legion's website and that brand has a reputation for durability.

Child of Alara is the obvious choice. Marath, Will of the Wild is an efficient, perpetual mana sink. The Gitrog Monster is a serious land related value engine.

I don't think flavor is a problem with the Avacyn kill everything idea; that's literally the Lunarch Inquisition, which conveniently enough had an equipment subtheme. Being boros you would really suffer from the MLD ban, but you could make the 99 monowhite to better benefit from Caged Sun and the like. Divine Intervention is a super troll plan B.

I would add Scars fast lands to the list. I'm pretty sure all of them do or have seen modern play. Give the Theros temples another few years and they'll get there from EDH.

    @Bakgat
I also plan on picking up a bunch of the enemy pains.

In theory 1 PP = .01 USD with card values based on a proprietary index that usually, but not always, closely tracks tcg mid (I got burned a couple years back when I didn't realize Karmic Guide had a wide gap). In reality PP are trading at about .006 USD on the dark and seedy underbelly of the MtG black market.

If you're just using it as a price index treat the 1 = .01 as accurate, or even better use tcg mid.

I'm not getting into a never ending duel of corner cases, especially when you're leaving out so much relevant information (other players' commander, hand, relevant cards in deck, etc). The white source/wrath player is 90% to lose regardless; he's so far enough behind enough that he's digging in order to not die and he doesn't even have his mana base in order yet. The second example assumes you're playing against a table of goldfish; I would have killed the Cryptologist with Marath almost 100% of the time because I know better than to let a grixis player loot. If some dumb blue player countered him on turn 2 or 3 then I probably don't have an out, but I would bin the counterspell in hopes that someone else will deal with loot into Animate Dead on Bolas. That level of disruption is with a deck that's not even built for control.

I want to make two points here: 1) you can't win every game and only thinking about a card's best case scenario will lower your win % in the long run, even if it does win you some individual games 2) you can't ignore the fact that other players can and will interfere with you and disrupt your lines; It's rarely correct drop a Voltron on turn 4 and pass, even if it you can potentially kill someone on turn 5 because someone will have a counter, or an edict, or a wrath, or something.

I'm not out to prove that you should never run Steam Augury, though some people do think that, my point is that it is much worse than FoF and most U/R decks don't want it. I'm not sure even grixis reanimator wants with all the quality loot and wheel effects it has access to, but that's not germane to evaluating FF.

More than one since anyone can print something shiny that says 2/2 zombie and it's a valid token. I expect the foil zombies to do better than the DGM Plains regardless though.

That's a candidate for most phallic creature, but one of the Theros Islands is literally a *****.

    Sorry for the tangent.

You knocked out two of the top candidates in the OP, but if not Gisa or Kalitas I think you should just go with a B/X tokens configuration and run a general like Tesya, Orzhov Scion or Ghave.
