imo you want to hit lands to fuel steppe lynx if you wish to run those, otherwise 19 is probably ok. 18 would be pushing it a bit too much.

There was a Big Naya Zoo at GP detroit(I think) that ran stuff like baneslayer, bauble, elspeth and chandra. Didn't see any CoCo. Going this direction might be the way going forward with Arlin.

This could be what control needs to get a foothold in modern maybe ?

holy ***** I'm so happy and super excited about playing with Arlinn.

Edit : Looks highly versatile with, with lots of play nuances. Can protect itself. Highly relevant offensive and defensive abilities. Everything we could want.

what, i think wizards has to try really really really hard to print a card that makes naya company ban-worthy. This is like the ultimate fair deck.

losing eye wont exactly help Tron either. there are ways to emulate that inevitability but none as efficient or scary as eye. but I agree, without eye, Tron loses a bit of the inevitability advantage but it will still be viable. in the VAST majority of my wins, I have not had to search with eye. it happens maybe 5-10% of the time, and obviously a certain portion of those I would have won even w/o the eye search.

I agree, its irrelevant vs the uninteractive combo/aggro stuff (affinity, infect etc). Win-more against fair midrange (jund, zoo etc) most of the time, and locks control out. I don't see why some people are so against eye going.

I haven't played tron, but have played against a friend's GR tron multiple times and I don't think losing eye has a significant effect on tron.

It's a non-factor against fast linear aggro and uninteractive combo eg infect/affinity and win-more against the fair midrange style decks. Classic control is almost non-existent so that's not really a problem.

what do you think is lost in translation in this statement ?

"i just hate people who are crying because they are no longer winning. do you play to win? stop crying and play eldrazi.
    the are very ceap.
do you want to play burn/grixis and other losing deck? do it, but play don't go crying to wizard mom Smile"

Intent is pretty clear to me.

1 thing you are missing is that when so many people bring Eldrazi, they start to cannibalize each other. It's not Eldrazi vs the rest, it's Eldrazi vs Eldrazi first and foremost, then the rest.

so you admitting you want to kill the deck invalidates everything you said Frown
Why? I was trusting that you`d be able to distinguish my attempts to evaluate the deck from an objective standpoint, from my admittal that I, like basically everyone else in these 60 pages, have strong feelings about this deck and that it`s hard to evaluate. I was trying to make a point by admitting my own inhability. I made it crystal clear on purpose that what I want, personally and for selfish reasons, does not align with what might be best for the format or the wide player base. I was hoping to make people second guess their own opinion. You see people arguing for everything from "don`t ban everything, the meta will sort itself out and people need to brew more" to "ban both lands and mimic or I will stop playing magic" because everyone that cares enough to post in this thread either love playing with Eldrazi and want to keep winning, or hate playing against it and would be happy if they never saw a tentacle again. There is no objectivity here, it`s all guesswork clouded by subjectivity.

Edit: If you think your own post doesn`t come from a place of clouded judgment, you need to check yourself. Notably the silly comparison of T2 TKS with TS->Goyf (one card, two lands tapped in one turn, 4/4 vs. two cards, three lands tapped over two turns, probably 3/4 at that point? Please!) and Vesuva+Temple compared to Tron, which spends their two first turns and about 20 cards between land tutors and eggs to assemble the big mana... compared to playing one of your lands tapped. I mean come on, you can`t look twice at that and expect people to take you seriously.

Don't bother with him, basically ignored every reasonable point you made except the last line.

By his own logic everything he says is invalid because he's an eldrazi player and has a vested interest in keeping the deck as strong as possible.

Mimic is a strong but fair card if bombs like smasher and TKS aren't being cast 2 turns ahead of curve.

Tomoharu Saito also went 12-3 with UW Eldrazi at Melbourne finishing in 12th place. So we know at the very least 1/4 of the top 16 is on Eldrazi.

Edit : Top 8 so far UW eldrazi beats abzan company, RG eldrazi beats living end

Woo! Off to a great start, I see!

Latest update. All eldrazi decks advance. 2 of them beat living end to do so
