    When ~ dies or is put into the command zone from the battlefield, it deals damage equal to the number of Devil creatures that died this turn to any target.

    I was playing a game last night, and one of the players played Primeval Titan. He wasn't deliberately cheating, his deck had been built for 1v1 competitive commander, and he had not reviewed the ban list for multiplayer. I pointed out that Primeval Titan was banned, and a small discussion ensued, resulting in him setting Primetime and rethinking his turn entirely.

    It wasn't just that he was playing a banned card, but that it was a banned card that was also clearly best-in-slot, and he tutored for it, and using it he was planning to tutor Dark Depths/Thespian's Stage on turn 4. We still ended up facing that exact combo, but some turns later.

    What would you guys have done? What do you think is the proper way to deal with a banned card showing up in a game innocently?

    I'm not sure I even agree that Primeval Titan deserves to be banned at this stage, it's not a game-destroying offender like Sylvan Primordial or Sundering Titan (which came up in our discussion) but the fact remains that it is banned.

    Needlessly awkward means of storing up, just give it "T: Put a storage counter on." Yes, it's stronger, but not so much as to be a problem. In fact, they did exactly that with Rushwood Grove! Now all we need is one that doesn't etb tapped and it could even be playable!

    Legendary planeswalker (no type)(maybe commnon for pauper Smile )
    The “legend rule” doesn’t apply to cards named planeswalker brigade.
    +1: do one of 3 effects at random (simple effects like scry 1; creatures you control gets +1/+1 ueot; draw a card then discard a card at random; etc)
    -2: do one of 3 somewhat powerfull efect

    and in the art show alot of diferent walkers, and during the set make cards of eternal killing the walkers of the brigade...

    I think we all know that in 1-2 years we will have to say "no, there was more planeswalker casualities in the set, but just 36 walkers protagonists in it"


    The cleaner and easier way to do this would be to drop the Legendary supertype, then you wouldn't need the "Legend rule" clause.

    I made Assault Formation work in standard, I can make this work! I kept lamenting that I really wanted green in my High Alert deck, and here it damn well is!
