I recently took this deck to a ptq and did pretty well. I'll post a decklist on my next day off if you guys would like :)! I was wondering, has anyone thought of serum powder? I know we like going down in hand size after mulliganing but using its second ability might be something we as a group should consider. Espresso Stax is a deck after all.
Yes please, and a PTQ report would be nice as well
Hi! I'm trying out this deck, and of all the list i've seen I've never understood why the 1x of Hopeful eidolon!
I mean, if it's strong move it to 4x otherwise drop it!
It helps the deck race against other faster decks in the mid game. You wouldnt want to have multiples of it in your starting hand because its so much weaker compared to say favored hoplite and other one drops
Hi all, im new to playing Mono U tron and i was thinking what is oboros main pupose in the deck? Can i just substitute another island for it or is it an essential part of the deck?
Confluence is a must for any two color aggro deck or midrange deck because fixing your mana as early as turn 2 can be the deciding factor instead of a scry land
There is no reason to run Chained to the Rocks now with Oppressive Rays available. T1 - scout. O rays also pumps E armor, and to keep mana up to block (and your opponent doesn't even know if they WILL be able to block if you play Courage, Gift, or Madcap Skills next turn), they have to abandon playing any sorcery-speed spells. A big early fatty can be a problem, yes. For that I would put Banishing Light in my sideboard (or run a couple of each if I'm only doing Selesnya, not Naya) and bring that in as a more permanent solution.
Your statement contradicts itself. If they have a big early fatty just slap an oppressive rays on it and they have to pay 3 mana for it to even do anything sans making it monstrous
Isn't it hexproofs main goal is to negate interaction with your opponents? I see a lot of decklists here that allow for interaction and that just goes against the decks main goal
Yes please, and a PTQ report would be nice as well
