Hi there. I'm hoping this is the right place for this. I guessed that it was since the M11 mapping thread was in here (http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=256680)

I've ordered 3 cases of cards, and I'd like to help out the mapping project here if at all possible. However, 18 boxes of cards is a lot to document, so I have a few questions first.

Cases come in sets of 6 boxes. They look like this

    [][][]
    [][][]

When I'm opening my boxes, what order should I open the boxes in to creature a proper map?

    [1][2][3]
    [4][5][6]

across like that, or in columns like this:

    [1][3][5]
    [2][4][6]

I'm pretty sure that the boosters themselves are to be opened in columns.

My second question is on reading a map itself. I've not actually done the mapping before, I typically just open every thing I have and enjoy it. At what point should I typically notice a pattern? Also, are there multiple patterns? The cases I'll be receiving are sealed, and I'm assuming the boxes will be in succession between cases. Help from anyone who has experience in mapping would be nice so I can provide some info here.

    Geth is sweet.

Grand architect does not make sense to me. It just seems like a bunch of abilities stuck on a card with a little synergy.

This post literally made me lol.

One ability turns creatures blue. The other two both interact with blue creatures. How is that not synergy?

These are pretty meh outside of the walkers and workshop/swords. Was hoping for better. Honestly GvL had more goodies across all rarities. I'll probably get 2 and finish the set of workshops later.

I didn't find much of anything on liliana's side that was good. Garruk certainly had the advantage, but even those were mostly the rares. Price-wise, GvL wasn't worth it.

Decent cards here (for resale), in my opinion are Seat of the Synod, Mishra's Factory, Thirst for Knowledge, Pentavus, Razormane Masticore, Master of Etherium, Steel Overseer, StP, Rustic Clachan, and of course the planeswalkers. Buying four sets of these would bring in around $125-145, depending on how much elspeth falls (I calculated her at $15 each, tezz around 7.50 each).

I feel like I should have seen this thread when I opened my three M11 cases.

However, I will also be opening three SoM cases, and am guessing that a similar thread will be made for it. In that case, what order, exactly, do I need to be posting my packs? it looks like I start with the left, go all the way down, then the center column, then right column of the box.

The more important question, however, is what order of boxes should I open in a case. They typical have 2 rows of three, like this:

    [][][] <- top of case
    [][][]

Should I open them like this:

    [1][2][3]
    [4][5][6]

    or

    [1][3][5]
    [2][4][6]

for them to be in proper print run order
