I guess these cards are a bit better (.5-1 higher) if you are in a more control role (like you got several strong mythic/rare bombs). But I am trying to rate cards as they would perform against a strong opposing guild deck, as you must beat the best to win a tournament, and I just don't see much value in those matchups.
Izzet has tons of ways to force through attackers: Teleportal, Chemister's Trick, Blustersquall, etc. That makes Cobberbrute look much better. Dissuading attack and then hitting for 5+ along with the rest of the team in an alpha strike is value.
Even in Rakdos rush, I don't agree that forcing a trade is terrible. Not great, certainly, but hardly unplayable. If they've been trading with you all along, it'll probably even hit something important. The same applies to Slum Reaper.
P.S. I do like the updated rating of Cobblebrute a lot better.
Wow, you're underrating Cobberbrute and Slum Reaper like crazy. I can see how they don't particularly complement the rush strategy, though even in that case the former forces the opponent to block and lose a creature. Is that seriously a 1/5 effect? The notion that Cobblebrute has "almost 0 offensive or defensive utility" is laughable. While trading it would a two-drop bear on the attack would be sad, it blocks and kills most non-flying creatures.
Obviously creatures have gotten better lately. I remember when you were happy to get a Gray Ogre, at least in sealed. As I'm going Izzet, I'll likely be playing Stealer of Secrets at the prerelease. I don't expect it to do anything exciting unless combined with Pursuit of Flight or piles of removal.
Explosive Impact hits players too, so it ain't no Turn to Slag. I agree it's nothing to get excited about, but ideally you use it for the last five rather than as removal.
Cancel is the best blue common? Really? I know creatures have gotten better since I last played limited, but don't Tower Drake and Stealer of Secrets deserve a higher rating? From what I remember, two-power fliers for three win games.
Huh. Two of the three posted decklists exclude Tenement Crasher. 5/4 haste for six strikes me as solid in sealed. Certainly not great, but decent. Also, no Voidwielder? If nothing else, the card murders tokens, so remember that they're in the sideboard.
I was thinking about Goblin Rally, but four 1/1s seem a lot worse than a 4/4 for this set. I guess there are a few pump cards, but much of the time you're just going to be chumping with them. That's okay but not exciting.
