You can combine Sunder with Temporal Cascade for similar effect in mono U, though then you really better have a superior board. The group I play with tends to frown on mass land destruction, though I have seen Sunder on occasion. It depends.
I am actually surprised they printed this as an Instant, since Diabolic Edict has not been Standard legal for over a decade, Away is a real bargain and having the bounce option, or being able to Fuse, is just gravy. One of the best cards in DGM so far.
Uh, Tribute to Hunger is standard legal at the moment. This is better, but Away alone would pretty boring and certainly nothing new.
Man, I hope the new rocks at least have varied sac effects. Like ones a cantrip, another is giant growth, another is disentomb, etc. Otherwise they are gunna feel over costed at 3 and boring compared to the keys.
I feel the same way. It seems like too many three-mana rocks for one block.
I think the Revoker idea was to cast it at a time similar to instant-speed creature removal. For example, Chord of Calling in response to Triskelion's Undying, in response to Kiki-Jiki tapping, in response to the Soulbond trigger, etc.
Okay, that makes more sense and would prevent immediate combo. Not too bad in mono green, I guess.
Regrowth isn't banned in Legacy at the moment. I think it's only restricted in Vintage because of Time Walk, Black Lotus, Ancestral Recall, and company.
Ash Zealot has been a flop so far, though I'm assuming she'll find her deck eventually.

Kederekt Leviathan plus Terastodon (now Sylvan Primordial) to destroy a bunch of noncreature permanents and reset the battlefield. Kederekt Leviathan pairs well with many etb creatures: Duplicant, Pelakka Wurm, Palinchron, etc.
Ixidron plus Crater Hellion to kill everything.
I've got Avenger of Zendikar plus Craterhoof Behemoth available but have never been in a position to go that route.
Avatar of Slaughter plus Oathsworn Giant would be fun - and not too powerful - in RGW.
Okay, that makes more sense and would prevent immediate combo. Not too bad in mono green, I guess.
