Maybe Turnabout for Kefnet? As much as I want Time Spiral in a commander, I got the feeling that it may just be a little, little bit easy to abuse. Although they did come up with Bolas's Citadel so they are not completely shy from printing broken things.
I like that you're worried about the ability being too broken & decide to go with Turnabout of all things! It's a testament to Urza's block that such an effect seems fair.
I am also a believer that the prices will drop once genuine fake cards will appear and with that in mind i dont believe buying any 100+ cards.
This is wrong in so many levels I can even describe.
1- The prices of old and expansive cards will never drop because Reserved List (no more printing of them).
2- Old and expansive cards still rising prices, despite the quantity and quality of fake cards increasing.
3- With the number of fake cards increasing, the punishment for using in non-casual events is increasing too.
It's quite plausible that the MTG market will crash sooner or later, whether because of counterfeit cards or because broader transition to digital games, virtual reality, etc. WotC's current focus on products like Arena indicates that they see the writing on the wall. Genuine cards on the Reserved List may retain some value as collector's items indefinitely, at least for as long as collectibles matter, but tons of us only or primarily enjoy playing. Counterfeits work as well as originals for that purpose.
Magic has only existed a quarter of a century. The bubble might last another 25 years, but it's highly speculative to expect it to endure forever. If I had to bet, I'd say there'll be a massive price drop within a decade.
Ral, Storm Conduit's -2 ability is the link you are missing, I believe. Use the -2, then cast Doublecast, causing Ral's delayed trigger from the -2 to trigger, copying Doublecast. Let just that copy resolve, then cast any Fork variant targeting the original Doublecast still on the stack. The delayed trigger from the copied and resolved Doublecast will trigger, doubling your Fork, which you use to copy the Fork still on the stack, resulting in infinite copies and Ral triggers.
That does work! Thanks for explaining it. So both Howl of the Horde & Doublecast plus any Fork get the job done, or any combination of a spell plus two Forks.
When you play against anyone who uses cards that take control of yours, someone is going to find out eventually.
No necessarily. From what I've read on various forums, a number of folks play with counterfeit cards & get away with it. With double sleeves, good luck noticing a high-quality counterfeit card. I suspect some of the people I've played with do this.
Personally, for EDH, I only use proxies for cards I own but want copies for multiple decks & only ones that can't be confused for genuine MTG cards. I make a point of letting folks know I'm running proxies beforehand, though a lot the people I play casually with don't bother. Proxies are common in my experience.
However, also note that you don't need super-expensive cards to do well in even competitive EDH. I own a Mana Crypt but I'm missing duals & most of the legal Moxen (I've only got Chrome Mox) as well as other high-end options. Regardless, I've frequently won local EDH tournaments where some people run no-budget full-on cEDH decks.
1) It's an Elf. Tribal synergies galore! Used Wirewood Lodge to drop an extra creature. Etc.
2) The stunning Rebecca Gay artwork.
Currently I run the Piper in three of my decks.

But yeah, given that Bolas's Citadel evokes Yawgmoth's Bargain, who knows what they'll do?
Turnabout for Kefnet & Greater Good for Ronas sounds great to me. I'm fuzzy about Oketra.
Anyone find the notion of Bolas controlling a monogreen & monowhite God rather curious?

I eventually want a copy of God-Eternal Bontu for my Tymna the Weaver & Sidar Kondo of Jaamura Second Sunrise deck. It'll replace Reprocess.
How does this work? You cast Doublecast, then go to cast whatever instant or sorcery. Doublecast's delayed trigger triggers & copies it. Now what?
I believe you need two proper Forks (Expansion works, of course) or Fury Storm after having cast your commander at least once.
Edit: See correction below.
The combo with Medomai the Ageless is super cute. Take all the turns. Captain Sisay searches them both up, too!
