I'm surprised people are picking Keening Apparition. As far as two drops go, Frostburn Weird strikes me as at least as appealing. I guess the former sends a clearer signal, though, as it's the only mono-white card in the pack. Speaking of white, the 8/8 is tempting.
It's been a while since I've been to a prerelease (or played in any limited format for that matter), so I'm hoping to clarify a few things. Is it best to play or draw in sealed now? I remember folks used to say draw in sealed, and I've followed that advice successfully in the past. However, this pool of cards looks potentially fast and cohesive enough to making drawing a liability. Also, how many colors? Stick to the guild two? Go for three? And what mana ratios? 17 land? 18 land?
I'm going with Izzet because I want a Hypersonic Dragon for an EDH deck. I can see why people think it's one of the weaker guilds, but it still has powerful cards and a fair amount of removal.
Hi! I just want to make sure this combo works. Casting Fool's Demise on Palinchron allows you to sacrifice Palinchron, put it back onto the battlefield, untap seven lands, return to Fool's Demise to your hand, and repeat the process gaining an extra two mana each time. Is that correct?
Only if the multiplayer decks are pretty terrible. Edric is NASSTY 1v1, but it isn't a deck you want to play Archenemy with.
I saw it done with overwhelming success the other night, multiple times, and I wouldn't say all the opposing decks were terrible. Edric is pretty nuts.
I regret almost all the cards I've sold, because they're worth so much more now. I think sold a pair of Sensei's Divining Tops for like $4. Liquidating most of my collection did fiance a new set of a tires back in 2008, but had savings I could have used instead and should have held onto the cards.
What I lament most is not spending $25ish on on Magic when I first saw an ad for it in a comic book in way back in the day. Must have been Alpha/Beta/Unlimited. I didn't start playing until my mom convinced me and friend to switch from Spellfire in 4th Edition days. If I could go back in time I'd channel all the money I wasted on nonsense into original set cards and be rich today.
How many would be to many X burn spells in the deck?
Isn't the whole point of Rosheen Meanderer to play all the X burn spells? Slap down a Fire Servant and have a blast. I often contemplate making a such a deck. Untap effects like Instill Energy seem so good with that general.

Ah well.
