I have a bunch of revised Miscuts cards, several of which are connecting pairs. There is nothing spectacular here and the best card is most likely the Animate Dead. I was wondering if I could get some info on the value of these:
First the pairs (the Ivory Cup and Wall of Bones don't pair up. Not sure why they're in these first pics):
So, if I recall correctly it was stated not including normal foils in the last run of commander decks was an issue that should be corrected...Doesn't look like that is changing at all...
Hmm just now realized something. Why is it that gets two promos (not counting prerelease promos)? got bab Nightveil Specter, got gd Dryad Militant, got gd Cryptborn Horror, got gd Firemane Avenger, got gd Zameck Guildmage. They should have gave one of the other guilds a chance for a promo since there is still going to be gameday promos for Dragon's Maze but that still leaves out :izzet:.
Now given that information I'm going to call the gameday promos for Dragon's Maze is going to be &
Isn't Call of the Conclave getting FNMed too? There is always plenty of room for FNM promos for the next year and a halfish.
For EDH players Grandeur would be awful. Every Legend that had it would have a useless ability. I don't like it at all...And I thought I read somewhere, not sure where, that whenever a Legend is made they try to design it to be somewhat EDH playable. Grandeur would just be a dead machanic for that format. I understand that having multiples of a Legend in your hand in other formats does suck but eh...Disappointing. I really don't want this to every be printed again.
What would make sense, if this is a Gods theme, would be Offering.

Were the Eldrazi viewed as "Gods" by anyone? If they have eaten other worlds would it be possible that stories may have traveled via other Walkers or Omniscient beings of the past and perhaps they are worshiped on other Planes?
I'm not suggesting an Eldrazi appearance on Theros but just looking at them as a possible example of other Gods' power level.
Really hoping this has a Legendary Subtheme and we get one hell of the Pantheon. That's really my hope. Not in a Kamigawa level but just some nice EDH fuel.
I haven't the slightest idea how to properly price foreign cards, especially Foil ones, and I'm not having much luck finding proper price guides either. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how much the following cards would be worth if they exist in the following languages:
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (Chinese Foil)
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (German Foil)
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (Italian Foil)
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (Korean Foil)
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (Japanese Foil)
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (Russian Foil)
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (Spanish Foil)
Any other languages I may have missed?
Also Dracogeniuses in any language other than English also Foil would be great info too!
SCG does not have any Modern opens planned. They said that in this very thread.
Even if they did though, it isn't the end of the world and you are giving them WAY too much credit. Don't be afraid of scg messing up how you enjoy magic; they aren't capable of it. (unless you exclusively play at scg events or something crazy)
Right before SCG started doing Legacy hard body they bought up massive amounts of Legacy staples. Then they started running Legacy opens and jacking up the priced of all of the Legacy staples. Seems like they could try the same with Modern if they wanted to.
So...If SCG cuts many Legacy tournament in support of Modern or any other format, and the price of Legacy drops, SCG will be responsible for the rise and fall of it's popularity all in the matter of a couple of years?
Ug...Then they will pull the same strings with Modern and people will fall for it. Buy up all of the Modern staples and hold weekly high money Modern tournaments, jack up the prices and repeat. Making it a format for players only willing to drop absurd amounts of money into the game. And they will primarily be controlling the market, like with Legacy, because they will be holding the majority of the tournaments. Is there no other company with the guts to stand up to this and hold higher end tournaments more regularly? Get some competition going. It can only strengthen the game.
Wizards can also stop this from happening again. I understand not reprinting Legacy staples because it would upset many long time players. But reprint the crap out of Modern staples just give us some breathing room. This is why I'm stoked about the Shocklands getting another "printing/release" in Dragon's Maze.
While this is correct, I think the OP was trying to say that you can trigger Extort when you cast spells off of the Cipher trigger, which is a valid synergy.

Anywho! If there is no literature yet he could be trying to do many things. Is he aware that Jace is also on Ravnica and that Jace was not only on Zendikar when the Spawn hit the fan but is one of the few responsible? (Whether Gideon knows that or not I'm unsure. Whether Jace even knows I am unsure too. Not a story expert but I do eat this stuff up!)

It is awful. The abomination that takes up over 1/3 of the screen makes using the site difficult. Can't advanced search or view articles properly. Roll the cursor over the card name to view it and if the link isn't at the top of the now smaller viewer space it gets cut off. It makes me want to throw my monitor at a wall...Terrible change.
