I guess we'll see two different branches of grixis tech now, one focuses on low cmc spells, jace, and TITI, while the other tries to play the longer game by playing the thopter combo...
What about Jace VP and Thopter Combo? Seems like a decent place to start. Throw in some discard and bolts, got yourself a decent midrange deck.
Are you saying we should play Pia and Kiran Nalaar over Kalitas? I am still deciding between the two, the only issue I am having is that double black is really hard to achieve without messing with the manabase a little bit.
my personal opinion is that TiTi invalidates the need for non 2 drop creatures. im going to be testing 4 vryn, 4 TiTi, 3 snapcaster moving towards the invitational.
TiTi seems over-hyped. I don't see it making a huge impact in modern, considering you can abrupt decay it at any point.
maybe i just build an play slightly differently, but ive never had a problem against zoo/affinity decks. you just have so much efficient removal, 2 for 1's, etc. burn is closer to an even matchup but id rather devote a few sideboard slots to it then skew the mainboard specifically to that matchup. opp plays kiki chord, ad nasuem, storm, infect, essentially any combo deck not named abzan CoCo and taking a turn to play kalitis is terrifying, and she doesnt close close.
in short, she is powerful in a few matchups, but so useless in others i fear the benefits dont outweigh the costs

Managed to go Day 2 with my Grixis Build at Detroit GP with a record of 7-2 day 1. Then Scrubbed out day 2 haha.
Not really worth sharing my list due to the upcoming bans. And the list was specifically made for the Grand Prix meta.
What is the general consensus of Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet on this form? He seems too powerful not to be talked about. Also what are stock lists looking like these days? I am looking to play the version with Jace VP in it.
I think that Kalitas (x 2) deserves a place in the main. I refuse to believe that a deck with the newly revealed Blue Goyf/Upheaval (Thing in the Ice), Kalitas, Snapcaster, Pia & Kiran, Jace VP, V-Clique, Kolaghan's Command, Terminate etc. is not tournament viable, at least Tier 2 post-Eldrazi. We can call it Grixis Good Stuff UBR
As much as I love your idea, I think with all of those cards is putting too much strain on the mana base. Requiring UU, BB, and RR by turn 5 is way too much in my opinion.
http://mythicspoiler.com/soi/cards/thingintheice.html What do you guys think about this in a grixis control list with 3-4 thought scours, bolts etc. All cheap spells, possibility to get it back with K. Command and can be used as a board stall until we can flip it. I think we could use 2-3 copies.

Something I thought of in my head. I think Katlitas is an absolute powerhouse. Also this list would be looking forward past this eldrazi nonsense, but even then I think this list might be ok against the non-nut draws of eldrazi. The list is 59 cards, I am not sure of what to add for the last one. It could be a lot of things, just can't think of it right now, maybe it is Damnation or something.
What are your thoughts?
Also to note, this list has literally 0 testing, hence no SB.
Former Grixis Twin player here, shifted to Delver (didn't like it) and now I am here. I am running something similar to the Chapin list, because I don't have the Jace's. That being said, I think it might be worth to play one MD thoughtseize, and one in the side. What are your thoughts?

I am gonna try it. I would like to fit in 3 Foundrys and 2 Swords. Or mayve 4/3 split, very unsure right now.
I think we have better things to do with four mana. Such as Pia and Kiran Nalaar and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet

Ok fellas, I need a good SB for regionals. What sweet options do I have based off of the MD and partial SB? (Assume budget is not a concern)
