This is the fifth and final Planeswalker Theme Duel deck for the theros block, The deck is modeled after the duel deck product line and typically follow their guidelines. So 1 mythic, 5 rares, stick to the theme , make it playable, ensure its simply to follow and other things.
WWElspeth, Sun's ChampionWW
Duty and Honor
So Elspeth's deck was a bit of a tricky design at first. She already got a DD already with a solider white wheenie theme going and I didn't really want to copy that.
The design went as followed, what is significant about Elspeth especially in the Theros block. Well she had she come from Mirrodin (artifact theme) and she now has to kill a god using again an artifact (which is mythic so I cant use!). Finally the idea came to merge Equipments and soldiers together.
The deck has some really cool reprints with
Stoneforge Mystic and
Puresteel Paladin being the notable ones. A must for any one wanting to try an equipment style deck. The
Spear of Heliod really is a nod to the story and works nicely into the whole equipment style of the deck.
Overall I am extremely happy of how the whole theme managed to fit so nicely together with Elspeth's history.

This is the fourth Planeswalker Theme Duel deck for the theros block, The deck is modeled after the duel deck product line and typically follow their guidelines. So 1 mythic, 5 rares, stick to the theme , make it playable, ensure its simply to follow and other things.
RGXenagos, the RevelerGR
Revel and ruin
Xenagos is all about the party, his creatures don't have a care in the world and his spells are nothing but chaotic.
The deck focuses on
GR aggressive nature and comes out swinging. The deck comes with 2 notable reprints, the ever popular
Splinter Twin and
Raging Ravine.
The deck isn't strong on defense but who cares when your the life of the party.

This is the third Planeswalker Theme Duel deck for the theros block, The deck is modeled after the duel deck product line and typically follow their guidelines. So 1 mythic, 5 rares, stick to the theme , make it playable, ensure its simply to follow and other things.
BUAshiok, Nightmare WeaverUB
Engima and Fear
Ashok is a nightmare of a deck to make, on the one hand you want it to be simply and fun to play against but on the other you want to be cruel and sadistic, which fights into the decks colors.
The deck is quite controlling, with the desire to make the opponent have nightmares about playing against the deck. It doesn't hit very hard but it will make an opponent struggle.
The real highlight of the deck has to be
orb of dreams which grinds down play to a slow pace allowing the Ashok player to deal with threats more easily.
While the deck doesn't have to many value cards in terms of market value, the flavor of the deck really is something.

This is the second Planeswalker Theme Duel deck, The deck is modeled after the duel deck product line and typically follow their guidelines. So 1 mythic, 5 rares, stick to the theme , make it playable, ensure its simply to follow and other things
WGAjani, Mentor of HeroesGW
Strength and Honor
Ajani is a weird character, he has gone through 2 color changes but remains mostly white. So the aim of the deck really was to capture this idea of this noble figure training heroes.
The deck lacks a lot of whites typically removal spells focusing more on pumping up creatures.
The many enchantments allow Ajani to really bolster his forces, while cards like Centaur Healer buy time against more aggressive foes.
Overall a rather fun take on the jungle cat.
[Edit] The pervious version of this deck was a bit to Theros heavy. I decided to go for more traditional so to speak enchantments with a bit of a +1/+1 counter theme and a little bit of life gain

So this is the first in what will hopefully be a long list of sort of theme decks I have made. The decks are modeled after the duel deck product line and typically follow their guidelines. So 1 mythic, 5 rares, stick to the theme , make it playable, ensure its simply to follow and other things.
Here is the first
GUKiora, the Crashing WaveUG
Sink and Swim
So when looking at Kiora what do we know, she likes big creatures, she will do whatever it takes to make sure those creatures come into play. She is an ocean dweller and can command it.
The deck is focused on getting the big creatures out and delaying ones opponent as much as possible. The delay is not by trickery or cunning, most of the time its just slamming a bunch of water into the opponents face.
While the big creatures are pretty easy to come up with. I.E krakens and Serpents. What smaller creatures would Kiora use? Maybe ones that can serve her well, have a purpose in her plans.
Kiora I imagine is the Timmy/Jonny dream, figuring out how to get the big stompy creatures into play.
