So I put together a Kresh the Bloodbraided deck and one of the major hitters is actually Flowstone Slide this card is ridiculous if you guys remember playing back in Lorwyn standard with Murderous Redcap and Nameless Inversion you remember that if you respond to it's trigger for when it come into play with Nameless Inversion it will die but the last point it remembers it's power being at for the trigger would still count the +3. And I saw Flowstone Slide in my binder and felt like a mad scientist and felt you guys should know about this
When considering the decks you also have to consider what's in the decks as well right now in my area it's some what of a pain to find Garruk Relentless let alone a Garruk, Primal Hunter. But i've had my Elspeth Tirels for a whil and that's why I run the token build
I'm just getting into pauper, and I have a UB post teachings, however I really want to do something with slivers in pauper, I know they're a powerhouse in almost every other format so do you think you could come up with something, thanks. Also IThat was the greatest underdog story I had ever heard.
Might I suggest deathrender. I have this card in my vish-kal deck and it provides really good combat tricks as well as easily getting expensive creature into play.
I can see your point with not having a real gameplan for this deck, however I prefer the deck playing differently each time, I'm not always winning by doing the same thing over again, before with this deck I had an infinite mana combo in the deck but I took it out because that was how I started winning all the time, and I wanted the deck to be more diverse. Also I did forget to mention that I'll be getting a doubling season in november. On a side note I just realized that doubling season affects my contagion engine and contagion clasp.
This is my Progenitus EDH/Commander deck. I'm still looking for a Jace, The Mind Sculptor other than that I can't think of anything else that I should immediately put into the deck is you have any suggestions please feel free to speak your mind.
Hey that was me running the Hex Blade deck! Funny to find you here on the Forums as i was curious in the deck and noticed how similar your fnm was to mine ( it wasn't Hex blade just a U/W blade deck, two geist were my only hexproof creatures). I never play control really so i gave you plenty of gifts to work with off my misplays, so kinda hard to boast about it, and ill be honest if i stuck with what i knew and played RDW you wouldn't of had a shot in hell, it was much better tuned then the one you lost to and easily as good if not better then Casey's, with a ton of more play testing behind it then my control list(which was tuned to beat RDW and was very confident in that MU as i know exactly how to beat it). Rant aside the deck was good and seemed fun to play, the resiliency to board sweeps was impressive, i just think that good aggro decks will just out race you, with obviously your two hardest match ups of the night being aggro.
Not sound superior or anything but one of the problems that I had against the two red decks is that I saw none of my doomed travelers, an example would be how I got them against everyone else and did fine however where I didn't get them I got wrecked, however I am making some changes for next week already
Ok, so this is the deck that I played at FNM. I know it's the essentialy the same GW token deck that made 12th at the starcity tournament. I'll tell you now I didn't see the geist-honored monk at all and I only played it because I couldn't get the last Mikaeus, the Lunarch. However the biggest difference is that I run 4 stony silence in my sideboard rather than 2 sword of feast and famineDay of judgment and a fourth Timely reinforcements.
Round 1 Boros
1-2
I played against a fast boros deck utilizing Curse of Stalked Prey, stromkirk noble and Mirran Crusader and then just burn and good white cards. to blow me out game one. Game 2 I wrecked because I took off right out of the gates. Game 3 He got me after I wrathed twice and after that drew nothing but land for four turns.
Round 2 Tempered steel
2-1
This match up was a bit more tense because I know that if I wasn't fast enough I wouldn't win because I knew my opponent was playing a Tempered Steel Deck. He got game 1 because he came speeding out the gates like the deck usually does, game 2 was a lot different I got an oblivion ring to stick I believe on a vault skirge preventing him from gaining gratuitous amounts of life and then proceeded to overrun him with tokens and a lot of buff effects. Game 3 was down to a hair but either way of his battle tricks I would have won after I sut down his mox opal with Stony Silence.
Round 3 Hex Blade
By far my best match up of the night. However I have to admit he did play badly against me game 1 I sped out almost as fast as the deck could possibly go. Game 2 I out played him at every turn baiting counterspells.
Round 4 RDW
This match up I believe I would have won If he hadn't seen his singleton sword of war and peace both game 1 and 2. we ended up splitting because he was the only one that was 4-0 and the split allowed me to got to top 4.
Top 4 Round 1 Hex blade
So apparently I'm the only deck he lost to before this. Again I crushed him game 1. Then I got game 2 even after he wrathed 3 times.
then RDW and I split 1st and 2nd so I hope this helps everyone.
Why only 2 preordain it seems like you could easily cut them for 2 more jace belerens or since you're making so many creatures why not put in elspeth Tirel?
