    The second ability could be a pain, however since you put it as "Put the exiled cards on the bottom in a random order." would be a bit confusing. Basically it sounds as if though the person would have to shuffle those exiled cards (if even possible) and then put them on the bottom.

    Hey all,

    I am curious what would be the appropriate wording for a card (planeswalker) that when -X becomes 2 creatures with X/X (half each) WB with the white half having Lifelink and the black one having Deathtouch?

    Instance if they pay 4 Loyalty counters, then both creatures are 2/2 with one white with lifelink and one black with deathtouch.

    I'll agree that it was written in an ambiguous way considering I was still in 'thinking' phase. I know that doing such as an instant could be extremely potent; however I was leaning more towards using it at anytime you could play a sorcery, but again I am not familiar with a lot of wording technicalities.

    I HAVE scrapped the idea of different counters as going as far back as Revised edition, there are already a ton of counters types :-/. Not to mention it would be just as confusing.

    And as for Eliminator's comment: It actually does: "Remove a counter to produce B or U, but again, I've scrapped the concept of gem counters.

    True in regards to Loyalty, but Affinity only lowered colorless mana. I THINK I saw somewhere though that there was a different variant of it for colored mana. *Sigh*

    Okay, scratching both and back to the drawing board. LOL

    And as for refiners (in response to Giga): It's not a trade of 1 for 1. It would remove a counter to produce the mana. Thus if it had a toughness of 2, then you could refine 2 mana from the counters. The mana symbol (which was probably a bad idea from the get-go on that) only showed what kind of counter it would be able to 'refine' into mana.

    I figured I would post these to see what everyone thought, but these are a couple new abilities that I figured would be at least 'fun'. I would love insight on how to improve on these. I have included a couple cards that have these new abilities to show how they would work/interact.

    REFINER
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The refiner ability allows the use of 'Gem Counters' which can only be used with a creature that has "Refiner" in it. Gem counters in and of themselves CANNOT be removed unless a refiner uses it AND bases it off its toughness. I AM thinking of expanding it to artifacts and spells as well, but I am still contemplating how to do such.

    These particular cards show how to use 'gem counters' (aka. Gems). This basic aspect for these particular cards is two colored decks, but I might make some for mono-colored eventually. The examples I am using are Black/Blue and with a couple of vanilla creatures.

    Marsh
    Land

    T: Add a gem counter to this card.
    When a counter is removed, add either B or U to your mana pool equal to the number of counters removed.

    Merfolk Delver - U
    Creature - Merfolk

    LOYAL TO << Land Type >>

    "Loyal To" is an ability that when a player controls a certain amount of a certain land type, then it reduces casting cost by 1 of that color. These cards tend to have a high casting cost in and of themselves; however it is possible to have some that are 'free' to cast; however they generally have at least 1 colorless mana to cast just to make sure things are balanced.

    The examples I am using are Red and White casting cost cards and are pretty vanilla overall.

    Cherub of the Loyal - 2WW
    Creature - Angel
    1/1
    Loyal to Plains (For each Plain you control, this card costs one W less to cast.)
    Sac. Cherub of the Loyal to search your library for another Angel and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library.

    Loyal Orc - 1R
    Creature - Orc
    1/1
    Loyal to Mountains (For each Mountain you control, this card costs one R less to cast.)
    Haste

    Maybe it thought you needed just lands. :p LOL

    I tried it and it looks very interesting! Thanks for the program. What I think it needs is a checkbox menu that allows you to choose which cards you have and then to make a deck out of that...or at least something of that nature.

    Other than that, it's a good program!
