For me, I'd cut the blue, artifacts, and the Angelic Wall and go with straight red/white. You have plenty of removal in red and white, like the second Pillar of Flame, Righteous Blow, and the Banishment Decree. Leap of Faith, while pretty expensive, is still a combat trick that can be used as removal at the right time. Thraben Valiant is playable as a 2-drop, which can be used to go aggro or as a speed bump against aggro. Even Gang of Devils and Voice of the Provinces are playable as your high-end. It's a bummer that you don't have the green to support Wolfir Silverheart, because he's absolutely nuts.

It appears that TCGplayer is sold out of Proclamation of Rebirth. Last time I checked (which was a few days ago) the ones that were in stock were around $6.

For me, depends on which deck it's going in. If it's for a legacy deck, then Korean since I don't play foils in tournaments. For EDH, judge foil.

Currently Riptide Laboratory is used to bounce Spellstutter Sprite and Vendilion Clique, which happen to be part of many U/W Stoneblade builds.

I personally sort alphabetically within set (chronological order) within color.

John Medina on SCG mentioned Amulet of Vigor as an hot card today at Grand Prix Pitts. The card seems good in cloud post. If you have 1 in play your cloud posts will produce 1-4-9-16 mana, as opposed to 0-2-6-12 mana. Also, if you have multipe amulets in play you can trigger a newly played cloud post multiple times. Finally it can be fetched by trinket mage.

    Any potential on this sleeper?

Amulet of Vigor appears to be on the rise now.

Thanks for the feedback. always appreciate some. I have to wonder though, why sideboard out emrakul, especially show and tell. I use those cards often.

Agaist Belcher, casting Show and Tell is usually suicide, especially if the Belcher player has LED in play already (they'll just put Belcher into play).

I believe the number of points resets every year, but you get the benefits that you achieved in the previous year if applicable.

Does anyone here have any experience with legion sleeves? They're priced dirt cheap, so I figure they're pretty low quality but I was thinking of some cheap ways to put sleeves on my pauper & less used decks.

Also would like to know who even makes textured sleeves anymore. Don't think I've seen any in a long while. (Or if I did, they didn't say anything about their texture.)

From what I've heard, Legion sleeves are pretty durable and hard to break/split. I got some recently and they've been great so far for the price. They are cut to the same length between different packs, unlike some other brands that I've used.

The Ultra Pro 50-count sleeves are a little textured, but I don't think they're advertised as that.

  • posted a message on Any insight on how to study for Rules Adviser test?
What I did to prepare for the Rules Advisor test was practice, practice, and practice. I remember starting off with 50% on easy practice and 0% on my first hard practice, but passed the real test on first try.

Over the course of a month or so, I exhausted all the easy and hard practice questions. After each practice test, I'd read over every answer explanation - even for questions that I answered correctly because sometimes I had a lucky guess and didn't understand the actual rules interactions for that question.

Referring to the Comprehensive Rules when reviewing the answer explanations helps because the practice questions serve as a context for the otherwise dry reading that is the CR.

    ...just my two cents.

Well, your deck looks almost the same as I would have built it. Unfortunately, your sealed pool doesn't have explosive bombs or direct damage removal. As you said, green and black are pretty shallow here, and other than Volition Reins, your blue doesn't look very impressive either. Red/white appears to be the correct colors to play here.

The only changes that I would make to your deck would be:

    -1 Ogre Geargrabber
    -1 Sunspear Shikari
    -1 Darksteel Myr

    +1 Gold Myr
    +1 Saberclaw Golem
    +1 Blade-Tribe Berserkers

With 13 artifacts, you've got a pretty good Metalcraft base.

I would max out on your mana myr here, especially since you're lucky that they're all on-color, and cards like Mimic Vat, Myr Reservoir, and Nim Deathmantle can become mana-intensive as the game goes on.

With only 3 playable equipment, I would cut the Shikari, although keep Kemba because a 2/4 body by itself is pretty solid in this format.

While I've never played the Geargrabber in limited before, Blade-Tribe seems pretty solid as a 4 cmc 3/3 that in this deck can easily come in as 6/6 for a turn. 6 mana for a 4/4 with no evasion seems a bit clunky to me in this format.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts. Others can probably offer more insights. It sounds like you've got pretty good sealed deck card evaluation skills already. Good luck!

I remember Balduvian Horde and Relentless Assault used to be worth a ton back in the days of 6th Edition.
