What about the guys at Moe's Tavern? And, the guys at Kwik-E-Mart?

Moe probably would play a legal ante deck, which is different to Fat Tony's illegal ante deck. Barney probably plays the same deck since he first played FNM at Moe's Tavern

Apu from Kwik-E-Mart is the 2nd biggest pimp in the Springfield MTG community. Of course, the biggest pimp would be The Comic Book Guy. Apu's deck consists very rare Indian language and glittering gold foil. His deck is Red/Green/White Zoo aggro.

This is perfect,he would have foiled out tarmogoyfs and have horrible pronunciations of it.

How do we actually get the cards? Do we preorder the game at gamestop then get them?

Time Spiral Block was amazing. Nostalgia nostalgia nostalgia + a gazillion different ideas and re-imagined cards/concepts that sucked first time around. Many of the color shifted cards are staples. Timeshifted cards. Split Second!! A level of design and idea density that is completely unmatched anywhere in Magic, imo.

New Phyrexia was amazing. Evil Lol Power level awesome. Phybrid mana awesome. Praetors awesome. Flavor awesome. I wish the Mirrodin block had been the Phyrexian block instead, basically.

Yeah I Completely agree,New Phyrexia was the best part of scars...I'm sad to see it ago...

If you could seal the cards in the sleeves somehow with custom sleeves with a basic logo that could be tourny legal many of your problems would be solved. You could keep the cards in decent condition, secure label so people would be afraid to steal them + advertising, and you could still sell the cards after they rotated out.

I know of a LGS that tried this and almost went out of business because of it. There is no good way to police this idea.

I feel you can't really argue you balance with a card by itself. Cards become powerful or not or "fair" based on the interactions between other cards and the format.

Can anyone possibly give me a list of the money rares/staples/mythics in each set just so I can have almost the pros and cons lined up? That would be very helpful!:)

I'll agree that Innistrad is the best bang for your buck. It has a lot of value rares: all the duals, snapcasters, stromkirk nobles, etc. Two Planeswalkers at the mythic level, one of whom is a DFC, meaning he could pop up in the DFC slot in addtiion to your rare.

I mean, in Innistrad you can get 3 mythics in one pack, and while that's highly unlikely to happen, it does mean there's 3 chances for the mythic. Imagine opening a pack with a Liliana and a shiny Snapcaster or something.

yeah, Innistrad is the best bang for your buck if you are buying a booster box.

I'm sorry but, what is DFC?

How is this not trolling? I am throughly insulted that people can accuse me of using multiple accounts when the records show I have NEVER done such a thing. If one account is it, you must acquit.

Ok,tommorows Friday,go to your LGS and take some photos of the people playing MTG in their tuxedos. It will obliviously solve all your problems of being accused a troll.

This may be my competative nature but, if I show up to FNM and I am not playing a crappy deck my attitude is alot less competative, not a lack of respect but,I may take things seriously. If I am playing a ****tier deck and going 1-2 or somthing I may have more fun with my opponent. An example would be some guy and I were playing he kept playfully booing my strangleroot geist and I kept booing his snapcasters. I guess if the game is on the line I am less social more playing which can come off as a lack of respect. That be said I'm sure there are plenty of times where I have joked around and interacted more beside the gameboard with the game on the line.

Following up my last post about your favorite set since Ravinca,I was wondering what everyone thinks the best boosterbox is to buy. I play T2 only so buying scars stuff is probably not worth it. I guess the real question boils down to what set is worth more Innistrad,Dark Ascension,or Avacyn Restored?

With Return to Ravnica coming up I was wondering what everyone thinks was the best set since then. I started playing around Alara so I don't have a huge pool to play from but, I liked Zendikar and Innistrad alot and hated scars.
