It's weird having guilds from next set be mentioned in this one, but if something happens/the story advances chronologically in Gatecrash it makes sense.
I like the card I guess, as much as I like Terror, Doom Blade and every other 1B removal spell.

For a while a deck running it and Jace, the Mind Sculptor along with the good equipment from Scars of Mirrodin block dominated the most popular tournament formats.
That while being right after my friend traded away the 20 of them he had collected at like $4 a piece.
A friend of mine had a pipe break right over his dad's collection. Then again, ruined revised dual lands were a good trade for Jace 2.0. He was always bringing new things he found in those boxes too, and it was sad to see Shahrazads and stuff ruined by water damage.
I wasn't there to see it, but another friend jokingly pretended to pour a soda over another friend's playset of Jace and actually did it. Thankfully they were sleeved though.
