    so far im leaning towards a zurgo stax/punisher style build simply because I already have many of the cards for that, my main deck is kaalia so I can just steal the manabase from that. I do think u/w grand arbiter stax/control or even a bant hatebear control kind of deck could be interesting to try as well but I don't know what general in that particular case

    again, I was really drawn to boros splashing something else, stranglehold, blood moons and hatebears in white seem really powerful.

    So my meta is swarming with combo decks of various types, the biggest culprits being oona and Jin gitaxias. What do you guys think about building a deck dedicated to just not allowing combos. Probably r/w based, possibly splashing into u or b for disruption. Id like to design something that is playable both as 1v1 or multi, but if I have to pick one, multi oriented is more important. Thoughts?

    red blast and pyroblast can counterspell, I think that's probably stronger than bouncing an island

    So far my other thought has been boseju migh tbe a good call to add to the manabase to force through removal and more important spells like say boil or a game ending comet storm

    Sounds good, managed to get a few games in earlier, necropotence is as always an all star. got to necro to draw 20 and then just blow up everything except kaalia the next turn

    So its really a trade of of a little bit more explosive start over the more consistant games? makes more sense that way then. Saves me like $200 picking one up then lol I prefer the consistant option

    Youd get the 3 colored mana off the turn 1 signet and your turn 2 land, it is a rather corner case, but it has the potential of the turn 2 hasted kaalia which seems pretty good. I could be totally off here, just thought id throw it out there since ive was arguing it all afternoon and wanted to see if you have tested it at all

    so this came up today while i was screwing around with my deck at a store, would mana crypt be better than jeweled amulet? its another sol ring to potentially turn 2 haste kaalia off of.... Turn 1 Hall of the bandit Lord-> mana crypt -> signet turn 2 land that isnt the signet color cast kaalia with haste off hall... seems really strong right?

    The other thing Black does is Rakdos charm out of the sideboard. That card alone is possibly our best sideboard card against some matchups, like twin or anything that interacts with the graveyard in a meaningful way... Id almost keep the black splash just for that even if I cut bump from the maindeck.

    I have played with Flames of the Bloodhand before, and I believe it really only needs a place in the deck in a heavy lifegain meta. When skullcrack just isn't enough, Flames is your backup anti-lifegain, usually from the board in my opinion, but I could see it as a 2-of main maybe. Still I think right now just overloading 1 and 2 drop burn spells ends the game faster in most metas

    Yea I have 0 enchant hate at the moment because it hasn't been a problem yet and Im in a relatively small meta. For something bigger Id definitely find room for 2-3 wear/tear for sure. I have used shattering spree in the past, but I don't think I can really abuse it as well as some because I have at best 2-3 land in play and I don't want to tap out for something that reactionary....
