If I used Mizzium to copy a 3/3 artifact creature, takes 3 damage from a spell, then activates the Mizzium again to become a non-creature artifact, will the Mizzium still dies?
If the Mizzium doesn't dies, what if I activate the Mizzium to become a creature again? Will it still remember the 3 damage?
I hasn't played MTG in a while, and is quite interested in knowing some of the precon decks. Back in the days, I used to remember Blait and Bludgeon being the strongest aggro deck ever (or at least that is how I feel with all those crazy Affinity cards). Are there any new Aggro decks that can outclass Blait and Bludgeon?
I never really knew of a strong control/mid tempo pre-con deck that doesn't just fall completely flat to an Elf/Goblin pre-con deck. Anyone know of a strong control pre-con deck that I can try with?
I believe the new Ravnica block was balanced entirely in terms of what guilds got rares/uncommons/commons/mythics, with the exception that the Planeswalkers don't have the watermarks.
Yeah, I believed the new Ravnica block is entirely balanced. Which is why I quite love it as I being to complete my collection.
But when I try to collect the old Ravnica block, that 1 missing card still bugs me a lot. Sigh, I was kind of hoping that there will be some to fill in the gap.
I haven't played MTG for a very long time, and haven't followed the scene for a very long time. My favorite block was Ravnica, and I just recently realized that an entire Ravnica revisit block has been made. I was quite excited over it, and even purchased most of the guild cards to have a nice physical collection over it.
But something still bothers me. As I finish my collection, I began to suddenly realize that three of my guilds will be short of one card each. Then I recall the "screw-up" that occured in Guildpact. Which is this:

So, was this ever fixed? Will my collection always have that awkward one card shortage for the three guilds?
Warning: This is not an intentional necropost. I am attempting to revive my work here. Please do not lock this thread.
Hello everyone. I took a very long hiatus from MTG, but now I am back. I initially wanted to continue my work some time back, but saw my thread disappeared. A random google led me back to this thread, so I decided to see what I can do to continue helping.
There is one thing that I will like to ask first, before I attempt to continue my work here. Are there any more complete cycle indexes out there? I haven't been able to find any at the moment though.
From what I can tell, I stopped at M10 and Conflux. That means I didn't update this thread any further from Alara Reborn and further on. So if you guys want to help, you can help me from that set onwards.
Also, due to my long hiatus, I maybe quite unfamiliar with some of the stuff with MTG. So if I missed out stuff do forgive me.
Hope to get this baby going soon.
EDIT: Started working on the Commander set. These are the cycles I found:
Seems like the MTG wiki has a lot of information, even on cycles. I will use them as my source and credit them accordingly. But still, feel free to contribute.
Oh sorry I didn't see the other thread that has been around. ^^ But I saw the Migraine deck and it really seems quite strong, with diabolic edict, death stroke, coercion and even dark ritual. I will try it out against the bait and budgeon deck.
But still, seems like nobody has any love for bait and budgeon. I was able to consistently churn out turn 2 frogmite, turn 4 two myr enforcers. Since most pre cons don't have global creature destruction spells, it makes the deck very hard to beat.
Me and my friends are trying to determine which are the few top-tier pre-con decks, so I will like some opinions with what do you think are the best of the pre-con decks. I do know that a while back there is a pre-con tournament and Odyssey Trouce-O-Matic deck won. But that was before Mirrodin's Bait and Bludgeon came out, which in my opinion, was probably the best of the best pre-con deck. It had a very high win ratio, and unless other pre-cons had a starting hand of anti-artifacts, it can win very easily when against other pre-cons.
After a very long hiatus, I am finally back to update this cycle index. ^^ Once again, if there are any errors or cycles that I have missed out, please let me know.
(Interesting thing to note, Alara Reborn doesn't has a rare 5-card cycle and the last set to has this same trend is Nemesis. But it does has a mythic rare 5-card cycle though. ^^ )
I am arranging the enemy color cards according to this arrangement (:symwb:, :symbg:, :symgu:, :symur:, :symwr:) so if you find any cycles that are not of this arrangement, please let me know as well.
Yes-ish/ No-ish. I still use Youtube for general video search because it's the largest video site out on the internet. Despite the fact that it's missing a bunch of videos from a bunch of artists, I'd still say it is one of the more comprehensive sites on the internet. For viewing shows, I usually go to Hulu. Viewing any television on Youtube is just too much for me. I go to Megavideo when I have no other options but I worry regarding it's safety. The site and its pop-ups are shady and the viewing limit is irritating. It's also a well known fact that it's download site, MegaUpload, is swarming with spyware, viruses, and other bad stuff.
Hulu only allows Americans to view their shows. (In which most of the hit dramas are from) But still, it did say it will be trying to gain the rights to broadcast their videos all over the world. Then again, it may take decades before that happen...
Yes, I'm beginning to hate youtube, too. It use to be awesome but lately they've just been trying to be a business rather and make as much money as possible. I can't blame them but the site has just been becoming garbage. I hope that people start to slow down the traffic to the site and start going to other video hosting websites. The power of the consumer.
Yeap, I still remember when youtube first started, it was like almost the best creation for the decade. (At least to me, ) Now it just has been sliding downhill. Regional blocks, videos being deleted. And the HD function to me is quite a waste of time, as the HD videos aren't that much difference to a normal one. (Most of the time at least)
I did find another webpage callled dailymotion.com . It is able to churn out quite a number more results that youtube don't have, but it doesn't has the huge archive of videos that youtube has.
Recently, I have found youtube to be quite an annoyance. Examples like increasing of difficulty in finding music videos (especially older ones), search results keep displaying the same results even after I have clicked next for like twenty times (don't know whether this is a bug) and the uploading time seems to have become a horrible (I tried uploading a 1.8 mb file and it took like forever.)
I just want to ask, do you still use youtube as your choice of video sharing/viewing? If yes, why? If no, do you have any other recommendations?
Here are the cycles for Shards of Alara. This set sure has a lot of cycles for such a smaller main set. I may have miss out a few cycles this time round, so do post them if you find them. (Especially the three-card and two-card cycles.) Help is again much appreciated.
Battlegrace Angel - Sharding Sphinx - Archdemon of Unx - Predator Dragon - Spearbreaker Behemoth
This cycle features the 'prominent' creature of each shard, with a mechanic related to the related shard.
Battlegrace Angel - Promotes Exalted
Sharding Sphinx - Helps to create more artifacts
Archdemon of Unx - This one is tough. But in my opinion, this one helps the Unearth mechanic by enabling you to use Unearth when the creatures are sacrificed to the Archdemon.
Predator Dragon - Devouring creatures. (Flameblast Dragon to me is just another big fattie red dragon which has little to do with the mechanic of Jund compared to Predator Dragon.)
Spearbreaker Behemoth - Helps your creatures with power 5 or greater.
Thanks for all the feedback so far. Hm, apparently this laptop is even worse than the desktop I bought from like 6 years ago? I don't expect very high quality gaming (The graphics don't have to be excellent) as I am only using the laptop for gaming for like 9 months. After which, I will use it for routine admin work for my university.
By the way, these are the current specs of my desktop. I am using it (bought from 6 years ago, mind you) to play World of Warcraft, which is currently 'fine' with me.
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Professional (5.1, Build 2600)
System Model: Aspire G600P
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.40 GHz
Memory: 512MB RAM
Display: NVDIA GeForce4 MX 440
256 Kps Modem
I have no idea how to check any other specs, but if you need them let me know.
If that laptop is worse than my current desktop, I will consider buying another laptop instead.
Thanks again guys for all the generous feedback so far.
What if I used the Mizzium to copy a creature, used it to block, then make it become a non-creature. Will the enemy's creature still be blocked?
If the Mizzium doesn't dies, what if I activate the Mizzium to become a creature again? Will it still remember the 3 damage?
