I could text somebody to ask, but it's probably true of most EDs anyway. At the very least lots of people are travelling home after Thanksgiving.

Duh, true - I'd not even thought about that part of it...

Ok, yea - it's a nobrainer now - just she was pitching it as a "Black Friday" thing, and I didn't think about the holiday staffing being slightly pre and post.

That magic of having a statement posed with a phrasing that sets your mind off in the wrong direction and missing the obvious relation you'd normally make, heh.

Jay: Since its your field last I checked, you could verify, but my cousin's wife claims that Shock Trauma dpublestaffs black Friday like the travel holidays.

Sure super violent cases aren't that common, but apparently to ST increase at a rate like o
hholiday ST incidents. If she's not fibbing at least.

To be fair though 90% of XB1s extra functions are obsolete to folks with recent smart TVs.

And with less lag from the one's I've tried at the store.

Also note Froze. Do you have a smartphone or tablet? Encounter and mythos can be put away for good with the app available on android or iOS.

Look up Gaikai - PS4 is getting backward compatibility via it Fall 2014 or so.

And on PS4 the units would be $570 to build vs $387 from estimates for a BC unit which with 5m projected to sell by March is $1b nearly vs the $30m to setup Gaikai that's been estimated.

Streaming solution seems much more fiscally sound for that reason.

$400 video card runs AC4 worse than the PS4 version running side by side. Sounds like a great idea.... (Not to mention the other $600 in parts I have tied up with the machine)

And to be blunt, unless you consider 720p comparable to 1080p there's no competition right now, if you have a small TV or poor vision and can't tell the difference, they're close. If you've got a 50" TV to play on and good vision the XBone right now is horrendous to look at in a side by side.

I've demoed as a side by side to a few friends with my friend that bought both already and past 30" or so people break for PS4 sharply.

Entertainment stuff with Kinect is theoretically nice, but has a ton of factors in practice - demoing outdoors it sucked completely, warehouse type location with echo it sucked, normal room with a ceiling fan on medium it sucked. Basically echo or background noise makes it drop off a cliff for accuracy, in good spots for demoing its been nearly 100% accurate though with only slight lags.

(Note: Said friend is a 'scalper' - invested in 20 of each with $100 markup per unit, took him 1 week for PS4 still had six XBone last Ispoke to him on Tuesday)

For storage or play? Play I use credit card/business card displays from Staples to reduce the footprint per deck.

Storage I've sleeved with the FFG sleeves - that little numbered FFG thing on the box is how many of each type to sleeve all the cards. After that I still store them in the box section they came in nothing else is quite the right size, although I use other angles because of sleeving.

Boardgamegeek has some impressive projects people have made for storage though if you're feeling handy.

All that said though after a dozen or so plays of Eldritch Horror now (almost nightly since it came out) 2 player with the wife - it's a much better streamlined experience with a more realistic playtime than AH. It needs a few expansions to completely replace AH but its well on its way in 2 years it should be huge since it has all the pros of AHs narrative focused gameplay without the rules and 'stuff' bloat that turns it into an all day affair.

What's your basis for this? At least in the US, individuals have to report and pay taxes on income from passive Capital Gains. It's also a crime to misrepresent this data on IRS tax returns. It's not perfect, but it's certainly more robust than self-reporting on race, wouldn't you say?

I think he means that if you have a lot of wealth, but no income (in other words, you're so rich you don't need to work), then measuring income is not terrible informative.

Also you're allowed to play around with how you report it.

If you take a loss one year, you're allowed to spread the deductions relating to that CG loss across multiple years (7 I think?)

The reporting cycle is lower too - for example if you do private investing into a startup and they're paying you back $X on the loan a year, you don't actually have to report the loan payments yearly if you don't want to - you can report them at the completion of the loan for tax purposes if you want with some rules in regards to how much you can recapitalize, etc.

The difference between him and someone like George Washington is the American Revolution was about protecting the sanctity of the individual, their life and property which is something actually worth fighting for.

Communism to the people that support it is pretty much the same.

It's the fascist stuff that often gets tied to it that screws things up and starts messing with individual rights and the like - in a perfect communist utopia it would be akin to Gene Roddenbury's Star Trek where all those things exist still.

Eh, I'm a fan of moderates, but I'd vote for Warren over Hillary in a heartbeat.

I'd actually really like to see Christie v. Warren. Christie would be almost a slam dunk from me, but I do like some of what Warren says - and with the normal Presidential swing towards the middle expected she could be decent in theory.

Heh they took me from Gaithersburg to SGA which is Rockville specifically for its address I think, heh.

But true New England/MD rural isn't quite the same as Midwest rural.

I'm sure some states are like that but you stated it as an absolute as if it was everywhere.

True bLatch - I was forgetting about the ACLU's involvement in it. Think that further chalks up the "try to get a policy change to happen".

But I don't think they're aiming for the Catholic Church to change, just the messages that they propel. "Stop weighing in on X subject" type things - makes sense in a weird way, since hospitals do have ALOT of state involvement (for obvious reasons) that the Church should be a bit distant from them in all possible ways.

To be fair bLatch - it does seem silly, but it is getting publicity.

If she's looking to send a message rather than win the suit - it does seem to better approach to go after something of larger scope to attack the message and try to change overall policy rather than just getting a payday from the suit.

But she could just be crazy and going after the wrong people too.
