Anyway, Alternate Win-con for your list? MORTARPOD!
Ping them for 1 damage with every iteration of the combo, and it gives you a chump blocker as well as a little removal.
How would you feel about running two colors?
Blue for Archeomancer and Augur of Bolas to help find and return Faiths Reward seems good. You could do Snapcaster instead, if you wanted to get fancy (but then you can only Faiths Reward a second time).
Of course, then you would need to run more artifact creatures to imprint on Semblance Anvil so your 'mancer and Augur are cheaper. The white Myr might be good then.
Also, maybe a single (or more, but that's risky) Mox Opal would work out for you.
EDIT: One last idea: Nihil Spellbomb. Its crazy, and I'm not sure how well it would work, but if you time it JUST RIGHT, you could use it before activating Elixir of Immortality. Then, if you sac Mortarpod before you activate Elixir, 'pod and Elixir would be the only cards left in your deck, and, theoretically, you should be able to cast it and sac th
e token repeatedly. Not sure how well it would work or if it can even be done...
I think I'm going to either change the colors in this deck or just try a different deck. I'm not sure I have to test with it some more.
Could some sort of blood artist deck be built around faith's reward? Use a sac outlet and recurring critters to deal a massive amount of damage by sacing them all and then bringing them back with faith's reward?
I was thinking of that as well. I thought about running bloodthrone vampire in it with disciple of bolas for a good drawig engine. I will have to try it out. I think the falkenrath dude should be ran too to add more consistency to the deck.
Sorry if this is just me overlooking something, but I can't seem to find the combo: what is it?
There are multiple interactions that help you get deep into your deck. But main is to use otherworld atlas and clock of omens with a semblance anvil out. You will want to get the atlas to 3 counters because then you should draw 2 artifacts after digging some basics out with ghost quarter and Mycosynth wellspring. But what you will do is get a ton of artifacts on the field tap them to get mana and untap atlas over and over drawing almost your whole deck in the process and your opponents as well. Sac whatever artifact you want to put in your library. Cast/activate elixir and go again. I want a nice win condition other than it but I don't want it to be a dead card during most of the game.
Isn't the good old Mindslaver lock the saver choice here?
Btw Buried Ruins ain't M13 ;D
Idk how I can keep bringing it back and I don't want to get it mid game. As is every card is useful in every aspect of the game and I can make them draw their whole deck. And I know lol but it will be legal with m12 until October 5th
I know I will have to run cards like day of judgment an dispatch but I want to get the combo part of the deck down before moving on. There are plenty of different interactions within the deck but if you have any questions about certain cards or have thoughts of your own feel free to share.
Thank the maker, every deck in standard won't be warped for a year.
They'll make new basic-typed duals for RtR.
He's talking about bolas being the 4th. And let's hope ajani is somewhat playable. At this point Gx is looking like a champ. And to the people saying mono black sucks.... every color in standard sucks by itself besides green which is still worse than splashing another color.
Yes just like every other control deck out there runs them.
MBC will never be a deck as long as they keep pushing hexproof and she doesn't have a ramp ability unless you're talking about here ultimate but turn 6 is a pretty terrible point to start ramping.
Control will be better as tapout after the bannings.
thats where i will disagree with people saying she is bad. she's decent not bad. and i do see her in a mono black control deck or even a mono black ramp deck. we still have sphere of the sun's and other colorless ramp cards.
she might not see play right away but she will see play. also we have not seen the rest of the black cards yet. so wait till you say she awful.
Hahaha she will not see play because she is awful. She can't protect herslef when she hits the board and her card advantage is in the form of land. Her ultimate is a joke as well. I would much rather have vess especially with the miracle mechanic.
She is.... Awful. What does she do? Go get a swamp, pump a creature for x at sorcery speed, or she's awful removal. Seems very unplayable to me. I hope ajani isn't as bad as her.
Red is better suited to be with another color as is blue Red crumbles to life gain and generally blue doesnt have finishers. It's just how it is. With Huntmaster, new green guy, elderscale wurm, and tree of life or whatever I don't see red being playable regardless of whats printed.
I'm honestly curious which cards you think fit this description in M13.
M13 doesn't offer a lot at the moment but there are still a little under 100 cards left. But blue mages have the same problem. And the reason red by itself is unplayable most of time isn't because there aren't playable red cards its because cards that gain a large anonymous of life shut them down. And red for 2 years could go midrange and has Huntmaster although not pure red, zealous conscripts, bonfire, and chandra to help.
What's wrong with splashing colors? Most decks now days are much stronger by splashing or going two colors and thats why mono is nearly extinct. And considering were going back to ravnica people are going to be running more colors.
Why does everyone cry about how bad red cards are!? There are good red cards just not for MONO Red just like there are good cards for every other color just maybe not for a mono color. You don't see players crying they can't build a mono white deck or a mono black deck!?
You mean angel and overrun? It's around the same. They require bunch of creatures on board and attacking with something.
And don't tell me this will stay in play long time in constructed ))
We can compare it to that +1/+1 angel from AVR, would be closer as both are a creature, and still sublime angel would look bad.
And then we can compare it to king of creature buffing, silverheart, which makes this angel feel like scared little girl.
You think angel of jubilation is better than this? You obviously don't know how to evaluate cards very well. And why do people assume you need a lot of creatures for this to be good 2 creatures and her is a legitimate thing to have on board. And silverheart is better? He had no evasion!

So you're going to be running negate and dissipate?
Pretty sure after the 20th your comment wont matter.
