I find another deck to be an absolute pain for this deck is a First turn Scepter lock. I played a small tourney and was expecting a Rock Vs Rock Matchup in the finals but I was faced with Scepter Chant.
1st Game:
Well I Had a good control game going until He managed to Accunulated Knowledge for 3 cards drawing a Chant, Isochron Scepter and counter spell at end of turn. I lost after that.
2nd Game
I managed to pull 2 Duress and 1 Therapy on opening hand. I stripped him of his Chant, Isochron counter spell on second turn thanks to a first turn BoP. He then conceded.
3rd Game
This had to have been the most embarassing loss of the whole tourney,
First turn mox, Island Scepter chant and well I could say I had no way of getting a deed or any other spell into play so I died 10 turns later.
All in all. If Rock cant get some early control it most likely will get squashed.
I am going to have to say Rock. One Deed hits the Table and Gobs are screwed. + Baloths are great as well and will gain you the life necessary to keep the upper hand till deed can be blown and witness to keep bring them back.
I have a friend that runs one and I beat his butt everytime as its just too slow. If you are going to go that route I think too would be more than enough.
I like that deck list SpiritDeed. I looks like my original Idea but somewhat different.
I don't think blue fits rock at all. Maybe red but not blue.
And I don't think Kokusho is better that Monger. I like them both as much with Kokusho being harder to hardcast than monger. But thats just me.
I know this may sound like a bad idea but what about Diabloc Intent when Vampiric Rotates?
What I like though is most of the deck will stay extended legal and if they do the bannings on affinity cards it might open space for rock to fluerish even more.

Cranial plating would be my choice to get the boot and the artifact lands as well I believe really need to get the boot and fast.
And I don't agree with even thinking of banning witness. Its good but not that great. I say deal with the source first such as Toot and nail.
