Hi you guys I'm very sorry but I think I'll leave this game. I'm also sorry for my team that you are going to have one person missing, but I got a new job lately and am rather busy and can't seem to follow the game as it should be followed. Maybe in magic wars II I would join again, I don't know. Best of luck to you all! Enjoy the game :).

Good point. Perhaps 1G then? Or some other 2 mana cost?

That is cool but I fear both of us don't have wither. How about something like this as our post:

    Feral Niari
    2RG
    Creature- Niari Xenarthran Berserker
    Haste
G,Q: put a mana counter on target creature.
If Feral Niari is touched it gets Split Strike.
    3/2
The conquests of the Feral tribes left behind not only ruined cities, but also twisted offspring.

That way we use mechanics from both of us, and there is synergy between all the abilities and interesting battle effects. Do you like it?

Talkaline I like your way of thinking, here's the Niari side of it:

The Niari and the Vitrions have been great allies since meeting each other. The offering of help and support by sending mana rich plants to the needed cities by chieftain Asan Dlara was gladly accepted and the relations between the races and their leaders became much stronger. Trade bloomed between the races, and in a bizarre unexpected way the city folk of the Virtions became better allies to the nature loving Niari than their jungle brethren. When the mana crisis started to tare apart the Vitrions, some blamed the Niari for it and saw them as vicious kidnappers who hurt the Vitrions' way of life. This has caused some already xenophobic Niari to become even more extreme in their beliefs. Many older shamans started to criticize Asan Dlara for attending to so many external events instead of taking care of her own society. Also many Niari ambassadors who moved to the Vitrion cities felt right at home and never returned to their beloved Niar forest even when they were called back. These actions were unthinkable to other Niaris, who saw this act as extremely unnatural, and made even more of the Niari simple folks dislike their city allies. Tension was starting to build between the nations, not between the leaders who shared a common goal and understood each other, but between xenophobic organizations who tried to rally the simple people of their races to hate and fear the others.

Also I think my task II creature would be Vitrion inspired as well, will make it later though. (Hint: A city-folk Niari)

Anyone wants to make challenge I hybrid with me by the way?

About challenge III I'm not sure how to even start...

Talkaline I really like this one, feels touched indeed. You should see though that I changed touched to become an ability which says "enchanted or has a mana counter on it" so you should change it as well. The flavor text is fine as well.

About the commanders I'm confused, when were we told we should make those and under what challenge? Can someone explain that to me please? I'm getting lost here...

Reminder: (Touched = A permanent that is enchanted or has a mana counter on it)

    Task I:
    1) Touch of the Tranquility 1G
    Enchantment – Aura U
    Enchant touched creature.
Enchanted creature can’t attack or block.
“Those who truly understand the beauty of the natural creation, will never be able to hurt a living thing” –Niari saying.

    Task II:
How does a rather pacifistic race like the Niari fight? Will here’s one answer:
    2) Touch of the Adepts U
    Instant U
Return target creature to it owner’s hand. If that creature is touched, you may draw a card.
“Our beloved forest does most of the work for us. All we have to do is channel its powers”. –Sifar Tala, The Arcmage.

Brofaux I really like your drawing, well done!

So guys are we finished? We have a logo, a watermark, is our lore complete? Do we agree generally about our common goals and history?

Marr about your remark on the color pie I totally agree. Using the color pie right is a matter of balance. Many people when they evaluated my green card with damage prevention said it's a color bleed, and I respect their opinions but disagree. On the other hand I myself found some problems with color bleeding in my reviews on other people's cards that did make me lower their scores. Because this is a free judging competition we must respect the opinions of others even if we disagree. But I generally do agree that if color bleeding is done right, it should even give you a higher score and surely not lower it. I urge others to think about this statement.

For example about my green prevention I can relate to what people are saying and understand their call, but about my mainly green+blue aura theme I disagree and think that although over the years white became more dominant in this field, green has a historical claim on this subject as well.

So I love color bleeding personally (The Time Block is my favorite one if you haven't guessed :P), but only when it is done right.

Unlike some of you (ahem ahem) I tried to balance to an average of around 17~. This can be changed of course as in some rounds people can make wonderful cards, and other rounds can be failures, and there should be some way to grade the success of different rounds not only in comparison to other players. Still it’s important not to over-grade just to make people like you.

You made one crucial mistake in this card that made it overpowered. The way it is written now even if the creature was going to be destructed you’ll put a +1/+1 counter on it, which is very strong in addition to an optional regeneration. I’m guessing you meant this will trigger only if the regeneration of this creature is triggered as well. Sorry :\.

Also a very cool creature, and experience is an awesome ability that I can’t wait to see in more cards. Still to me this feels much more blue than red (but this is a minor issue), more problematic is the fact I think it is quite too powerful for a common.

    Caverna - Marr965:
The Hive on this instant seems pointless but I’ll ignore that since I can’t tell until you’ll make enough cards with it. Also instead of hive you could have just made it a type using tribal, that would be much simpler. Not sure why the “This spell may only be played when an opponent attacks” is needed as well. The effect itself is fine, not very special but will surely work.

    Quote from NotoriousLynx
Yo, if anyone wants me to draw their race, I can. I'm pretty good. I won a few art awards. I won't do anything like card art, but I can do concept art very well.

Well it seems you have quite a lot of requests so I don't want to bother you, but if you have time I'd love that as well. I made a draft using the spore creature creator as you probably saw, but can give you more details if you want.

The current chieftain (And leader of all Niari therefore) is Asan Dlara, a young female.

Her two advisors are the arcmage Sifar Tala (middle age male), and arcshaman Alim Kara (Elderly male).

The Niari's part of the story:

Since she became chieftain, Asan Dlara never had a crisis at hand. She has been in role for the past 4 years, since her spiritual father Dosan Kira had passed away and joined the circle of mana. Unlike him she was interested in the world outside of Niar, and since she's been a chieftain she had started investigating it further, expanding the Niari's maps outside of Niar, and even sending trade expeditions to neighboring nations. The Niari came to meet many different races this way, but the one that fascinated them the most were the Vitrions. This race much like them fed on mana in one way or another, and were a great discovery for them. They felt almost related to them. And even though Niari hate city life, the Vitrions' mana cities made the Niari feel just like home, and allowed them to survive for long periods of time outside of Niar without any need for a special diet of mana rich leaves, or at least at the regular amount and no more than that.

When Asan first heard of the crisis in the Virions' cities she was shocked and deeply saddened that their close friends were in such trouble. After investigations in the Niar forest it seemed that the mana flew there freely and in great masses much like before, and was not affected by the phenomena. This didn't surprise Asan as Niar was so rich in mana, and so ancient, that even if there was to be such crisis there it would take hundred of years to even notice it. As Asan didn't really understand the magic behind the mana cities, she consulted both the arcmage and arcshaman hoping they could help her help her allies, but both didn't know the cause for this event. As a temporary solution Asan offered a constant supply of mana leaves and mana rich plants that would be delivered to these cities, but knew this wouldn't help the Vitrions for long.

Still she couldn't sleep at night, as these were her friends and she understood the importance of mana to certain living beings. Therefore she assembled a small group of shamans and mages and sent them to try and help the Vitrion with their bizarre problem.

Edit: By the way I made the logo but it turns out we also need a watermark, so I'm guessing a paw as well?
