I will say this now, yes you could build a pet deck and play at a FNM. But you WILL lose, every match. There is no way a dimir deck can beat anything. The only solid finisher you could use is Consuming abberation which I loved. But everything else is just garbage. A 3/1 that steals draws is glorious, but you can't have a deck with 8 cards that have no real synergy.
Dimir did get hosed, even at the kitchen table. That's why people are mad. Maybe if we could work it in as some sort of tier 2 rogue deck that'd be alright, we're not asking for amazing or always win. Hell most blue black/monoblack control people are used to and enjoy spending hours trying to break out and do the best we can with what we have, but this, this is just horrid.
The new split card is cool at least.
Edit: I'm running grix right now though *is used to being a second rate deck* and both of those split cards are pretty rad. I wanted to go blue black cause I love dimir flavour but there is really no way to win with it. Millgrow? Unblockable cipher? Come on man throw me a bone to make these go to at least a playable level T_T just one staple, just one!
This is exactly the deck I want to build. Similar at least I want to run 2 of the aberration. I'd probably add mind grind as a one of in your deck's proposition as a nice late game blow.
Interesting, this thread reminded me of this guy. Workin on making blue black mill. Yes janky and questionable I know. But I want to see how good I can make it, going with not a mill to kill, but mill for resources.
Boros Humans is going to be nutty. Paladin and charm might be enough to really change the format to respond to faster aggro builds more directly although with zombies running around I guess that was already the case. Might make new forms of decks viable might not. To be fair the meta is rather diverse at the moment already but I don't see anything new.
I was thinking about a BUG list for either evolve or self/offensive mill. I dream of a Consuming aberration into a Prime Speaker Zegana.
Milling for resources to fuel jaces phantasom or kill with the guild mage, aberattion or Lasaav seems like an interesting route to take. Undead alchemist might be an option as well.
Be a mad man and try a grixis delver deck. Might be interesting since you wanna be aggro and control at the same time. Go with the red blue build except splash black for dread bores, (cremate sideboard and slaughter games for control as well as rakdos returns) maybe even sneak in Rakdos as your top curve finisher. Use some of the rakdos aggro cards if you want as well. Grixis deck wins? haha
Looks like b/r zombies with a pike and nightawks lol. If you want to focus on pike, i'd say run highborn ghouls or knight of infamy as tech to poke through. I like the idea of going blue instea of red but the brimstone burn + pike evasion is interesting. Blue would give you access to judges familiar though.
You either go a more pike build, or more zombies with pikes in it.
Pike build I would do maybe even grix. But hawks, judges familiars, faithless, thought scour, brimstone, faerie imposter? delver, think twice, unsummon, tragic slip, electrickery, izzet charm. Lot's of neat stuff you could do.

That + hands of binding could be enough to keep an opponent down with unblockables to do some silly mill stuff or something.
Overall though diverse enough and rather fun!
Tier one Cipher deck! jk
Simic looks interesting , lot of CA there.

No, awful. Cipher way overcosted. Not one standard playable. Very disappointing.
The mill stuff going on though, that looks awesome and fun haha
Interesting idea though. Regen is awesome now. Jund VAMPS lmao
