Quote from DementedKirby »Interesting... I will probably just maintain my primers here just because they have some history and have been here for a while. There's lots of discussions and I believe that they'll still be useful if I'm still able to edit and maintain them. That being said, the staff here at MTGSalvation have made the experience and forums an amazing place and their dedication deserves way more merit and credit than can be given. I hope that, once MTGNexus is up and running, an announcement can be made and thus be able to create an account there (and hopefully no one takes my username ). It won't be easy juggling between being active in two different sites, but I will probably only be attentive here to my primers. If the exodus towards MTGNexus is a certain thing, then I will join that immigration.
If the people who make up the relevant parts of the community to you are moving, then going over there could be reasonable. If not, then, at least personally, the community is way more important than the staff. In my case, at this point in time, I'm almost exclusively focused on the Mafia side of things, with the occasional foray into EDH. The EDH section is losing a number of serious people to this schism, so I'm probably just forgoing the game altogether for the time being; I haven't played Magic since August of last year anyways, if I recall correctly. Both communities will probably change, but it's a question of convenience of staying here or loyalty to people who are moving, the primary group of which and force behind which is staff. Both sites are at an unstable state. This site needs a staff that is actively focused on it and appreciates the community, Nexus will need people who like the old staff of Salvation enough to want to be there, and doesn't have the funding or people to be as stable as Salvation potentially can be at this time.
That said, as a user, you probably won't even notice most of it. The staff are just people, just the same as users. Their authority is an artificial concept. So make sure that whatever you choose, it's based on your feelings about the community, not just following either the staff to Nexus or just staying here for the site structure itself, as either way, you'll likely end up disappointed if that's the reasoning for your choice.
I use eliminate by default and then other words for flavourful purposes such as slick. Very few sites are actively moderating or censoring their users to use something other than lynch.
Outside of games with specific flavours, in which unfriend, kick, shock, slick, oust, etc. have been used, the standard top choices have been:
Eliminate (Sometimes shortened to elim)
Execute (Sometimes considered to not be a good replacement as it's considered comparatively brutal)
TK (For TownKill)
Yeet (*sigh*)
Attached are the announcements from a handful of mafia sites.
I had talked to you after the first time you brought this up, which had clearly been in partial response to Shadow being one of the people moderating you. As was posted in the Discord, the approach in this thread does not come across as a good faith attempt. While I do believe that having regular discussions of this are important, coming into the MtGS Mafia community as an outsider with zero participation in said community and saying "I don't like X that some of you do" does very little to actually achieve what you're looking for; people in the community have already dismissed you as not approaching this topic in good faith.
If you want to enable a real discussion which may lead to practical conclusions, that can be arranged, but understand that you have to be coming to such a discussion without an attitude of "Agree with me or you're all ******* racist ********s" or "I want to get back at an administrator who moderated me and I know that they have controversial political views."

Wheel is okay. A bit win-more. Jeska's Will is cool, though it must be the first spell you cast.
Any thoughts on Jeweled Lotus?
What do you feel is specifically better with Norin than with Purphoros? Like, there have even been people commenting that the deck rarely swings in because it's more about getting a bunch of creature etb triggers through Genesis Chamber and a bunch of token generators. But those token generators work comparably well with Purphoros triggers, and Purphoros is realistically the number one option for creature etb triggers unless someone is legit just playing chaos with Confusion in the Ranks. Like, Norin himself would still be run main deck as an engine in a Purphoros deck styled similarly. The main point is that Jeweled Lotus works amazingly with Purphoros and doesn't work very well with Norin.
Just Eco?

bobthefunny is another admin actually around. Not sure how many others are actually a thing.
Almost the entire staff and at least about half the userbase switched to another site.
Yeah, Rhand's documentation had a very old version of the roles or something.
Kip: I’m hungry!
Chip: We’re out of chestnuts.
Kip: There, a stack of leaves. I bet there’s something yummy underneath!
Chip: Let’s have a look.
Kip: I found something!
Chip: Not something, someone. Isn’t that…
Kip: It’s Grumpy! He’s not moving!
Chip: But if this is Grumpy, then…
Kip: The Grumpy we just saw isn’t real!
The knowledge of the truth breaks the spell. A whirlwind engulfs Grumpy and moments later he is gone. Where he stood, an apple lies on the ground.
Prophylaxis has died. They were:
Poisoned Apple – Mafia one-shot even-night Poisoner
The Chipmunks quickly find the other dwarves. They follow them to the body of the real Grumpy and put him in a casket close to Snow White’s.
Kip and Chip are observing the scene from a tree.
The Bird and the Huntsman are standing around the caskets of their friends, weeping. The Queen had been taken care of, but that wouldn’t bring their friends back.
Kip: It’s so sad.
Chip: I know. But at least some of them survived.
Kip: I wish there was a way to bring the others back.
There was a way, but not without true love.
The Queen would never interfere with them again, but yet this story could have had a better ending.
Town has won!
Highroller - Bird – Town Voyeur
Ampharos - Huntsman – Town Vanilla
With 8 players, it takes 5 to eliminate.
