Quote from ilcapoIt looks that you could use more token generation for your general. My Meta has lots of sweepers and have redundancy or recursion is very important for my decks. I have a Ghost Council deck that needs Reusable as a general. Check it out, it's below my banner.
i appreciate the feedback! but the point isnt to swarm with tokens. you just need enough for it to be effective. the deck doesnt care about getting 500 tokens off one card but more like getting two off a marsh flitter then reaccuring that with a karmic guide or deathmantle. provides more synergy with the creatures dying effects
Following my original logic. A deck built by a competitive player is by proxy a competitive deck.but ONLY by that proxy. You as a person playing that deck isn't competitive unless you wanted it to be. (Thus my original point). Thus making the deck competitive. Hand it to 10 years old new to the game and it won't be competitive. Hand it to LSV with and incentive to win ( eg live or die) than it's competitive.
too much work for the benefit. its not like there is ALWAYS a Craterhoof Behemoth waiting for you in a GY somewhere.
Deck is very budget friendly. None of the essential pieces are above $10. The cards you mentioned are easily replaceable and I have a vault of different cards you can select form on the Primer. The closest replacement for Yawg would probably be Living Death in terms of a blow out turn.

deck update for Kaladesh
i took some time to revisit some old cards and groom through all the blocks since Khans. Land count was slightly bumped at the sacrfice of mana rocks. With another b/w fast land from Kaladesh the early mana fixing this deck needs is consistent enough to run utility lands.
Removed
meekstone - meta call. not needed as much lately
elspeth, knight errant - lets be honest this card has been outclassed for a while I have only been running it because its my favorite Plansewalker and looks pretty. It has a new home now
twilight drover - another outclassed card. its benefit is redundant
spirit bonds - has been crap recently . idk i hate paying mana for 1/1s and i am making way for better cards
Orzhov Guildgate - outclassed by temple of silence and was the next land to cut. mana has been smooth lately and hard CIPT lands are slowly becoming obsolete due to power creep
everflowing chalice - cutting on rocks for utility land. i just hate this card even though it goes well with Blood Funnel. i need color
Orzhov Basilica - bounce lands seem to suck every day. always hate it when i draw it. works well with Bojuka bog but thats about it
Added
Concealed Courtyard - great land for this deck. need double black the first two turns and 2 white by turn 3. this helps to achieve that goal
Pious Evangel - i didnt like this card at first but its a Soul Warden and a Blood Artist. the ability is super easy to work and sacs ANY permanent at instant speed. fetchable with Recruiter too
Recruiter of the Guard -Creature tutors for almost any other creature in our deck and interacts with all the creature cards like Nim Deathmantle, Altars, and Teysas first ability etc.
Blood Funnel - Hidden jank that i have been testing lately and love. speeds up the going off turn with Carnival of Souls and what not. the drawback is secretly a great sac outlet which this deck makes good use of although i will admit sucks when your behind. But so are lots of cards.
Mirror Entity - I stopped playing this a while ago but Recruiter of the guard inspired me to bring it back .its ability is too unique to ignore and does a lot of neat tricks. Also is a Human.Sliver and Zombie
Geier Reach Sanitarium - Subtle way to discard a big card from my hand for reanimation. The interaction is needed very little so having it on a land and using Zombie Infestation is just fine
Westvale Abbey - Meta call for my PG teching sideboard against me. Also i like the art
enjoy!
Swamp ornothopter memnite hatred, culling the weak, dark ritual swamp
Essentially I casted hatred turn 2 on my memnite paying 39 life killed opp than died to plant token on another players turn
The beauty of capitalism is that they can!
I played a Storm Crow once and the whole table scooped
Initially yeah if your looking the average its bad. in a format where things like top are legal. it can be manipulated to be very deadly. 40 is a lot yeah but its not THAT much. So i agree on the testing
by flavor I mean sticking to a theme. If i want to build say build a deck about Bears. i run Bear cards and spells with forest, salmon etc regardless of what the cards actually do. Because i'm building on the theme not on the mechanics.
