There are of course some 3 colored options as well. But in my opinion 2 colored decks are the 'strongest'.
If you don't own duals, shocks, fetches in those colors, your opponents will have an easy time taking your mana base apart (Strip Mine, Wasteland).
It's always good to invest in a decent mana base, but if you start buying duals, your budget will quickly be spend.
If you want more information about a certain general, let me know and I'll give a more in depth explanation ^^.
Amonkhet
It's fun to see cycle coming back. Alas the -1/-1 effects aren't very beneficial for Kresh. Nothing really caught my eye.
The set has a couple of good cards, but nothing game changing like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds was.
Cruel Reality: Too costly for the effect, and only affects one player.
Final Reward: 5 mana to exile a creature at instant speed isn't bad, but there are better things.
For example, 2 more mana and we have Scour of Existence. And if we dig even deeper, instead of a spell that exiles a creature... Why not take a creature? Duplicant is fetchable with Fierce Empath/Worldly tutor, and when it removes Ulamog or Kozilek it's a threat on itself.
Hazoret's Favor: Interesting, it reminds me of Sneak Attack. But since you have to pay the cost... It's way less effective.
Insult // Injury: Too bad this isn't instant speed. It doesn't double the power like Berserk does, thus making it less interesting. (Fling, Disciple of Bolas, ...)
We all agreed that I won that game, rather than deal with the number crunching.
2 (Eternal Witness), 2+8 (Hornet Queen), 2+6 (Siege-Gang Commander), 2+24 (Omnath)
8 (Hornet Queen)+ 6 (Siege-Gang) + 24 (Omnath)
84 damage... and that's only after the first copy of Warp World
Both are great man! If you don't mind if I write one first and the other later (see my answer to Bhogal83 above), which one would you prefer?
Ooohh hard to choose. Hmm if I would have to make a choice I would go for Kresh, or maybe Dralnu.
No take Dralnu, or perhaps the mighty warrior Kresh. Can't choose, can't choose.
Step 1: All of the above cards must be on the battlefield except Veilborn Ghoul who is in hand.
Step 2: Activate, sac, then copy Korlash, Heir of Blackblade with the Mirrorpool. Keep the token copy around and let the actual one go to the graveyard.
Step 3: Pay and activate Tortured Existence and discard Veilborn Ghoul in order to return Korlash, Heir of Blackblade to your hand.
Step 4: Discard Korlash, Heir of Blackblade from your hand to the graveyard by activating his token counterpart's Grandeur ability in order to bring in two swamps from your library into play tapped.
Step 5: Because two Swamps entered the battlefield, return Veilborn Ghoul to your hand.
Step 6: Amulet of Vigor untaps the two swamps.
Step 7: Rinse and repeat steps 3-7 until your library has no more swamps or until you have satisfied that Gravestorm count with the remaining available mana you have from untapped swamps.
Assuming the stars align, this go off as soon as Turn 6. Earlier with acceleration.
My opponent plays Reforge the Soul, which made me lose.... ALMOST!
Before my draw I used Dralnu and played Learn from the Past and could happily swing with my army of undead.
My Dralnu is a combo version >:D. (Doomsday - Lab Maniac)
What do you mean with multiple casts of Exsanguinate? Unless you copy it, you can only play it twice?
I do believe the rest of the cards are fine.
Do you play Pioneer on paper as well Prime?
I just love this thread, and would love to see more ^^.
It's first main phase - combat (all the steps) - second main phase - etc
What decks did you encounter Motley? ^^
Either:
- Azorius: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Hanna, Ship's Navigator, Ephara, God of the Polis
- Dimir: Dralnu, Lich Lord, The Scarab God
- Izzet: Mizzix of the Izmagnus
- Simic: Rashmi, Eternities Crafter

Could you... maybe write Dralnu first?
Kresh the Bloodbraided and Dralnu, Lich Lord are mine! =)
Fetches and Damnation! (... so far)
Darn you, now I will have to try this.
Yesterday I pulled off Morality Shift into Rise from the Tides in my Dralnu, Lich Lord deck!
For the curious people... I had 38 2/2 zombies.
Before my draw I used Dralnu and played Learn from the Past and could happily swing with my army of undead.
What decks do you already play? What decks do you face in your meta?
You probably want something creature based... So I'm assuming you want green.
You want the deck to be mono-, duo-, or shard colored?
